    W.A.S.P. : An apology

    A few months ago I started a thread called "Whatever happened to W.A.S.P." as I used to be a big fan right up `til Blackie Lawless supposedly split the band in `94.

    I hadn`t bought any of their CDs since as I thought they would be pretty goofy.

    However, since starting that thread I bought all the albums since then and they are pretty good.

    (Except 1999`s really shitty "Helldorado", which is a thankfully brief return to crass cock rock. Titles include "Dirty balls" and "Saturday night cockfight". DUH!)

    Special mention to 1997`s "KFD", which has a Nine inch nails kind of vibe to it, and 2001`s "Unholy terror", a close relation to `89`s classic "The headless children", mixing metal and politics.

    Perhaps that`s the problem as the band never seem to stick to a focused direction for long.

    Anyway, in an age when good metal albums are hard to come by, W.A.S.P. have made a few.

    Actually, I have been trying to find their album Live In The Raw for sometime but havent had any luck, used to listen to that one quite a bit....

    Yeah I met him one night as well. It was in the backroom of FM Station, and also there in that room was Rhino Bucket, Billy Sheehan and Kevin Dubrow. I said hello to all of them, did not really get into any deep discussions with any of them except the Rhino Bucket guys....their first album had just been released (or was about to be).
