Let's be honest, when Dave was in Van Halen he was all about Dave. Not the band the only time the band became important to him is when it got bigger and better without him and he threw a tantrum. I can honestly say that I enjoy both eras but..... The were completly different bands. Sammy brought a respectability to VH that wasn't there before. Sammy did the VH tour last year, not because he needed the $ (like Dave woiuld have) but he did it for the fans. I met Dave once on the eat em and smile tour and he coulden't have cared less for the people who paid to see him. He thought everyone was there to worship him and kiss his ***. The sad thing is..... he thinks it's still 1985 and that the schtick he did then is still funny, but he's the only one who thinks so.

Sure dave would of loved the money, but the man doesn't need it either!! People always say, ooooh dave need's the money. Trust me he doesn't. The man travels in a limo every fuckin' day, and you should see some of the places, and resturants he dines in. He chills out in the hamtons. Trust me, dave never needs to record another record again. He is fine. The man loves to work, and keep busy thou, and always is up for new things. Dave always wants to do a cvh tour, because he wants to be in the band that he helped build. The original lineup!!! Dave still talked about van halen, even when he was doing perfectly well as a solo artist. He cared about the band, and always always cared about the fans. Just because spammy gaygar looks like he cares about all the fans, doesn't mean he actually does. Remember anyone who say's "its not about money" guess what? it probably is about the money. And just because you have a ton of it, doesn't meant that you aren't greedy...
