What was the first CVH song you heard that blew you away?

I remember plain as day hearing "You Really Got Me" the first time...I could not for the life of me figure out what was happening? Where were those screams coming from? Were there two guitar players? As a guitarist myself, I was bumfuddled.

I had to have more. And it wasn't more than 30 minutes the station (Gulf 104 in Tallahassee) played Running with the Devil....

That was 25 years ago, and I never quit being impressed - with CVH, I should say.

dat iz if im still allowed roubd here. i heard so many cutz by =VH= from pretty woman 2 da time jump came around. by da time jump was bein' played out i knew =VH= was no longer back 2 basics rock&roll. when rollin' in my ride and wctbl had hitz intro came on, you know the gradual build up and evh's guitar wit itz full sound and tone. i knew from there the real =VH= was back in full effect thought with a new singer.

Believe it or not, Jamie's Cryin was the first Van Halen song I ever heard as a kid...Really drew my interest and fandom. But it was the headbanging fury of Runnin' With the Devil that did me in...
I was a hopeless CVH fan 4 Life after that!
