The NHL has to find a way to reward offence.
This business of offering extra points for an overtime win is complete bullshit.
I guess it keeps teams in the race...but if you are going to do something so asinine, at least make it help the game.
So, a win by three goals or more is worth 3 points or something.
They should have widened the ice a bit and there would be no problems with the game.

He can run it out of his bar...even if it is in Toronto..
Seriously...I know a dozen people who would run the league much better, including myself.

I've seen so many egregious errors from the way the game is managed, to the way the arena is run (during hockey games), to the in game entertainment. I know it's minor leagues, but I think with hockey minds behind it, it might be different.
I'm not saying I could do any better. But A) I don't know that I could do any worse, B) I know a hockey person would be able to do more.Comment

Look at Carolina as a success story.
Jim Rutherford is every reason why they have done well.
Your owner has to see the big picture and think long term.
Too bad Bettman can't do the same.

let's just say I'm not thrilled that there are 3 points awarded for some games (2 for the "winner" and one for the "loser" WTF?) and and two for those won in regulation.

Saturday night...
I am a Hockey widow...
It only happens once in a while (really not often) so I don't complain.
My husband and 2 months old son are sitting there, cheering the Habs that are winning against the Leafs at the moment.
I don't know anything about Hockey eaven if I grew up surrounded by fans and players.
I hate it!
So I'm gonna go find something to do (and it won't be fixin' a snack for the man)...
Good Luck to all the fans!
And a reminder to all Leafs partisans; The Stanley Cup hasn't been seen in T.O. for over 40 years so it probably means that it doesn't belong there!
