In Contrast...Sidney has a 25% shooting % and other positive contributions...being dominant in the faceoff circle being a key one. I know he isn't happy with how he has played either So Malkin, yes YOU "play so bad"

I heard a Toronto radio commentator said the Penguins are becoming the San Jose Sharks East, and a talented team that is flawed and cannot win in the playoffs. He said to expect a major retooling this year after they get eliminated...

If you can't use the fact that the Pens top three D-men (Letang, Maatta, Erhoff) are out as an excuse, then I give up.... Show me another team that would survive with out their top D.....

That said, they've still only lost three one-goal games.....

But I can't argue with the Sharks comparison, it's been six years now....

Well, when he scores 2 goals in a playoff game and dominates the faceoffs, I would say he is a major part of the win yes.

Is this hard to understand? Its kind of like when a RB has 150 yards rushing on 15 carries and 2 tds (AP numbers) versus 60 yards on 25 carries and two fumbles...just trying to relate a playoff hockey performance to something you can understand

And by talented, I mean super-talented. Pat LaFontaine ran with Mario in the 90's one year when the Sabres' Mogilny had 76 goals. Was Mario more "talented" (or skilled) than Pat? I doubt it. he was a fuck lot bigger though and could withstand punishment more. People forget that like Gretzky, Mario was surrounded by a great team that could win without him to an extent. Ron Francis anyone?...
