Its true...the loss of three of your top 6 D is a huge blow. So much of the transition game is developed from the back end. For you Dale, explained in NFL terms, Its like having Tim Tebow as your QB versus Andre Luck...not much is created and you are relying on individuals to create much from nothing against the NHL's best team. Even at full strength, this years Pens would likely have been overmatched. Malkin disappearing entirely isn't helping either

Yeah, there is lots to like there. Drafting in the top 5 for a few years has some advantages, ask Anaheim.

There are things I want changed on the Nucks so I am ok with losing this series.

Hard to understand that goalie interference call late in the third which ended up being the difference. Never seen one team dominate like that (the Nucks) and have so many penalties called against the pressing team in a row in such a close (elimination) game.
