It was a dive, no doubt about it.
It is the weakest of all dives, because you really have to call those because people could die.
It might be better to call a 10-minute misconduct, rather than a 2-minute penalty, for that play, both for diving and the infraction. The play could also be reviewable, automatically.

Carolina was the dominant team tonight and was deserving of the win.
I have a prediction though. Next season, the 2 minute penalty for unintentionally putting the puck over the glass will be changed.
On that play, Buffalo's d-man was pressured and obviously didn't intend on putting it over the boards.
All in all, Bettman has tried to remove the discretion of the referees and I think it needs to go the other way a little bit.
Not making excuses, just trying to improve the game.
