Got me a date with a shaved Asian. I know, I know; I think it's fucked!
That must be just 'paid' attendance...they were doing buy-one-get-one-free ticket deals...radio stations were giving away tickets...Originally posted by Mezro

I was there and there were at least 1,800-2,000 people there...it was very crowded...
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"
there were probably 10 boats anchored in the river next to the venue...there were about 100 people along the riverwalk watching the show...
I filmed the second half of the show from the riverwalk...there was this old dude (70 at least...!) who was absolutely GETTING DOWN to Roth...I couldnt resist video taping him for a minute or two (he was oblivious to the fact that I was standing right next to him with a video camera pointed at him)...it was high comedy...too bad I had to erase it...
you know, the more I watch the Kahunaville video, the more I like the set Roth did...
My review that I wrote was a reflection of what I was thinking AS I WATCHED IT LIVE...

lets face it...Dave and Eddie need each other...
Sounds like a good time. If David ever gets out here Coruscant way, I expect to be meeting some of you folks...
Twistin' by the pool.
I really would go to a large venue 20,000 & below to see something

There is a bit of a special magic to small shows that you don't get in huge ass 50,000 seat venues. That's very much almost all the concerts I've ever attended. Given the choice, I take the smaller venues over the large arenas any day of the week.
What about going to huge arenas with 5 grand there?
Folks busted out beachballs @ the van hagar shows last year and the janitors were getting involved.
In the 10th row!
I wasn't there, I'm just sayin'.
Well, the janitors didn't have anything else to do...Van Hagar concerts are filled with respectable adults and model citizens. Playing with beach balls is how they let their hair down and get crazy after a hard, productive, responsible day of playing it safe and being respectable
Now. As for myself...
The place was packed!!
Fuck it...we had a great time!!
It's weird, the show @ WILD ADVENTURES took place in a theme park. I could hear the band and shit, but the smell of funnel cakes was everywhere.
Then you had the fucking WILD ANIMALS all caged up and shit. No fucking way van hagar wouda booked a gig like that.
Think about it....funnel cakes...sammy....WILD ANIMALS.
Cuntplete overload for the WILD ANIMALS....couple of screeching lyircs?
BAM.
The fucking thing is front page news with baboons busting out and dry-mounting sammy in the middle of "When it's Love."
LMFAO!
Time for some photoshop.

Van Dave would be the sh#t.
I've seen DLR many times, 15000 at the Summit here in Houston on EEAS and SS tours. Great shows but the time he played the Backstage club - for YFLM was the best. About 1000 and jam packed and drinks flowing - he fucking rocked.
I'm wondering if he'll even come to Cincinnati at this point.
I still have no info on where he's planning to play here.
And Edward Van Halen is a dickhead for letting the Golden Op pass him by.
By the time he decides to do a Reunion all the fans will be so old that loud music will hurt them.
Who needs that shit, i don't, the fuckin bastard.......
I wonder how much of that Dave gets ??
BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow !
Love ya Mary Frances!
Where were those figures posted?
Id say it was a pretty decent crowd, heres a quick pic i snapped
My question as well, Panamark.Originally posted by Panamark

This is dissapointing. I was sure Dave would be able to sell a few more tickets than that.
I can back PA up on this...it is a small outdoor venue, yes, but the place was jammed when Dave hit the stage.Originally posted by Dave's PA Rental

Unfortunately, I think it will keep going down if he doesn't put out some new music. It's been the same show for how many years now? Only the hardcore will keep going, and eventually it won't even be worth it for him to bother (if it is now).Originally posted by Mezro

its a profit atleast
I'm sure 864 is just the paid attendance.
A new hard rock album (like DLR Band), a couple of singles with videos, a series of interviews to promote the album/tour, and perhaps the release of a DVD collection of all his solo work to further promote, and I've no doubt at all that Dave would EASILY sell out these venues today.
There must be so many Old School VH fans out there that don't even know he's on tour, AND who would like to hear some new material from him that takes them back to those CVH days.
It's not as if Eddie and Alex are catering for the CVH market anymore. They stopped doing that in 1986.
Ummmm I was there, and there was WAYYYYYYYYYY more than 864 people there.......
