Would you see a half Van HALEN, half Van Hagar show

I'd have to say I would go for the Van HALEN show, yes. Only because I never saw Van HALEN. If I had been around for Van HALEN I wouldn't go, I'd have had my Van HALEN fix already. The Van Hagar show I'd walk out on unless Van HALEN was to come back for an encore at the end.

There is no way, than Dave would open for Sammy Hagar at a Van Halen show.

So you're not a Van Halen fan? Seeing Eddie or Mike or Alex play live just doesn't cut it unless Dave is at the helm huh. Well what if Dave was dead, would ya go then?

I hope your not an AC/DC fan.

Dave has had every opportunity to rejoin this band if he would just shut the fuck up and sing. The guy can't be in a band. That's why he has to do a Vegas act.

At least we'll hear something new.

    Are you fucking serious?

    I hope not.

Dave's had TWO new CD's come out, AND he has toured the WORLD over and back again since the last Eddie Van Halen CD. So how the fuck is that not being in a band?

    You arent serious, are you?

Are you serious? Did you give a listen to that last piece a garbage that Dave put out on some irrelivent label? This guy used to be the envy of every eighties band and to show his appreciation to his fans he throws out a hunk of junk like "Diamond Dave". Then has the balls to go out on tour to promote it?

As if die hard Unchained loving massses are going to enjoy something so drippy. Please give me a break. What exciting tour did I miss? Puhlease!

Shut up and go find a friend.

I don't know if you're talking to me but if you are, yeah there's no fucking way I'm seeing EVH, AVH, and MA with anyone but DLR. I also don't understand what AC/DC has to do with this, they didn't write fucking cheese ballads after Bon passed away.

You missed a hell of a lot while your dad was falling off his piano bench, drunker than a motherfucker.....

You KNOW how it really is, why don't you tell it like it really is...and the saddest thing is all these people that King Edward despises now....made everyone in that house rich. Oh, yeah One Day At A Time..uh...whatEVER...Dave had evey chance to do what, you dick? Sit in a studio while Uncle Al berates him, Mikey talks behind his back, and Ed is a drunk mess who has no people skills at all...and they have to have FUCKING THERAPISTS IN THE STUDIO TO MAKE MUSIC?????? What kind of retarded mentality is that?
RETIRE if it takes a mental health professional to get you to play...just RETIRE....
....but DAVE TRIED MORE THAN ONCE TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT RIDICULOUS CRAP, BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT THE FANS REALLY WANT....and those confidentiality agreements from the 2000 sessions will go RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW when you all start your public slagging of him...so keep that in mind...
    and go fuck yourself........

DIEHARD UNCHAINED LOVING MASSES?!?!?! They made him, motherfucker...so don't look down your condescending nose at them while you're standing on their fucking shoulders!

and guess what?? I bought it, are you going to say I have bad taste?

Oh I forgot...Eddie now views his fans as MORONS...:
"ya gotta listen to it (VHIII) more than once, because you won't 'get it' right away..."

Oh I see, anyone who thinks the 'solo album' is anything less than genious is merely a dumbass that DOESN'T GET IT? How much of an ASSHOLE can one man be to his fans? I bet more people, if locked in a room and made to hear VHIII, in alll it's technical fucking glory AND Diamond Dave..then chose one to keep and one to discard...I GUARANTEE you most would keep the Dave disc....But Ed's right and all those people are morons with bad taste, right?
fuck Maiden has live compilation stuff out with ALL singers on it....and THEY just headlined Monsters Of Rock......
what about AC/DC's BONFIRE set? You think Brian Johnson was anything BUT supportive of that project? There's a lesson in how to act towards your fans right there...
He didn't even have to play with Dave ever again, just respect the fans of that era, and release a live DVD from the early days...a collectors item....but no....it all sucked apparently, and we were FOOLS to believe in the spirit of the sound, I guess.....

    and again....go fuck yourself.

I would. That way, I could get a good, up close look in the eyes of the Hagar loving shit heads the moment Dave, Edward, Mike and Alex hit the stage and they realize the grave error of their misguided ways.

Seriously, yes. I'd go. If I didn't, I'd be sitting on my couch wonderin what was goin on while the show was goin. Like the Butthole Surfers said - its better to regret what you've done instead of what you haven't done.

AC/DC has about as much diversity in their music as you do in your boring-ass rants kid.

    You're a pretty dumb bastard, ain't you?

Irrelivent is Van Halen III, asswhipe. And at least Dave is giving his fans something, unlike Ed.

You need a pill, shitlips. What the fuck kind of Unchained point was that? Drippy music? Hey, asshead, I'd say the man who used to strum Unchained and now plays krap like "Come On Baby Finish Whatcha Started" and "How Do I know When It's Love" takes that taco. God damn, you're stupid.

Cat, for someone who claims not to listen to nor know anything about Sammy-era stuff, you sure can name every fucking song can't you?

Oh and "Diamond Dave" is a completely irrelevant album. Only a suckass like you would actually sit here and defend that nonsense. DLR Band? Ok. But "Diamond Dave?" Please, get a fucking clue would ya?

Nope. Actually the closest thing Ac/Dc ever did to a cheese ballad was on their first album, in 1974.

Dear Dave's PA Rental, Catfish and Lou and Top Jimmy,

The entire Diamond Dave CD was a cheese ballad. How would you all feel if Steve Tyler or Ozzy or Mick Jagger or if Sammy put this collection of crap out. If Sammy released this it would be the topic and joke of theses boards for months if not years.

I am sorry I feel the way I do and I don't want to argue with "friends" but does Dave really make you feel good these days the way his music used to? I thought so.

Oh and by the way, Top Jimmy, I'm done fucking myself and I just want to thank you for lending me the lotion, tissues and video tape of your Mom.

Dude I think "Highway To Hell" is just a better album. I think the songs are just better, I think the energy on BIB is awesome, and Brian Johnson never sounded that good again. But Bon's the fucking man, and when AC/DC finally put together a complete album like "Highway," I think they finally reached that pinnacle they had been searching for for years.

I agree, but Angus and Co. can still fucking smoke and burn live, and give the Bonn tunes a worthy and plentiful pounding at every show.

Which is far more than can be said of Van Hagar on both points of comparison. Van Hagar live was a cringe-inducing embarassment, and their pitiful handful of selections from the classic VH canon were downright criminal in their scarcity and mediocrity.

    To Brett:

I'm just kidding with you bro. We don't need to go into AC/DC hour. I only own HTH, BIB, DD and FTATR. I've only seen them live once. BIB is just a staple "Classic Rock" album ya know? Everyone from our crew knows it well.

EXACTLY. I saw AC/DC in 2000 and it was one hell of a great time. 2 straight hours of "plentiful pounding."

You want my response, or you want to be a dickhead? Probably the latter I would assume by your previous response. Dope.

I agree with that. Saw AC/DC quite a few times when they opened for Aerosmith in the 70s. Bon put on a screamer of a show, That band often upstaged a increasingly drugged-out Areosmith (who were good back then too).

Brians voice never sounded as good after BIB. I saw a recent Saturday night live apperance the other day, and couldnt believe how bad he sounded. Sorta like Bob Dylan, the poor bastard.

But Back in black really brought them to the forefront. If I'm remembering it right, Deeds was never released in the states untill after the sucess of BIB......

Yeah "Dirty Deeds" came out in '81 and charted pretty high if I remember here, maybe #3. I don't doubt AC/DC smoked Aerosmith in the late 70's.
