i was just listening to a couple of older eddie interview on the www.2dorks.com website
very cool stuff and i realized- Eddie is still the man.
He may like his privacy but he is the same cool ass cat he ever was and he's all about the music. There still has been no one nearly as influential on gtr that even comes close.
ive been lucky enough to have grown up and got to see vh live a few times ( of course with dave) First show i ever saw was diver down when i was 13. changed my life. Eddie made me pick up the gtr and ive never put it down since.
im a ripping player and im always told that im the best gtr player and musician whenever i play live or with friends or whatever- ive been very lucky to play with some great cats 2- none of that matters- i know im blessed and its cool- but eddie is like mozart on a totally diffrent level and we all know it. he's a musician. most cats cant even play gtr anymore. its like rock is back in style- finally people are sick of all these gay djs and whatever- rock never left never will.
Let's all hope eddie stays healthy and focussed and realizes Vh is vh with dave and thats really what the people want.

I sorta agree with you, but not totally. I have a fair amount of compassion for Ed cause he was a hero to me for a long time. And I have no problem with introverted geniouses. Cool that he's so into music and (hopefully) guitar still.

But the 6+ years of silence has driven me nuts. Not to mention the fact that he's chosen Fat Sam as the singer for VH '04. Mediocraty breeds mediocraty, so thats what this next Van Hagar offering will serve up.

dlr has the mojo sammy is just a go with the flow-
dave & eddie's magic was the dynamic- sammy is just a hired gun.
i saw dlr in nyc a few months back- he still rules!
by the way - have u seen the DLR barbecue tape. its better than ANYTHING vh has released since he left by far. killer stuff.
