Holy Krap! The Bass Player In New Project With George Lynch, Tommy Aldridge!?!?!?

    From Blabbermouth.net

Legendary guitarist George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB) is in talks with veteran hard rock drummer Tommy Aldridge (WHITESNAKE, TED NUGENT) about putting together a new project. "We'll see how the sessions go and if everything clicks like we hope that it will," Lynch recently said. "We're looking to pull Michael Anthony from VAN HALEN into the fold as well, and that's also in the works."

With regards to his upcoming solo album, Lynch said, "I have about 8 or 9 new tracks pretty much completed for the new forthcoming record. Mucho guitar noise! It's heavy, bluesy, psychedelic and trance-like. Indefinable stream of consciousness."

On the equipment front, "Design and development of the new Randall amp line is almost complete and the amps sound ridicolous," Lynch said. "There are four preamp modules, and power amp main head, called The Lynch Box. There is also an awesome 4 x 12 with some really cool retro and modern features. There will also be a point-to-point hand-wired head. This should all be finished and available by winter NAMM in Anaheim, California. We are developing a new pickup with Duncan clalled the Super V, which will initially be available only on the new ESP Brahma Super V guitar, also coming out in January at NAMM."

Lynch and Tommy are an interesting proposition. Could really care if Anthony joins or not.

Vinnie nailed it, far as Anthony joining up and then suggesting that Hagar sing. That would be totally crungeworthy. Why not just get Anthony to sing if it came down to that?

Oh God, anything but that. Mike's an OK backup singer, but his register sucks for lead.

    My opinion.

    lol appropriate wording here, folks....

"PULLING Michael Anthony from Van Halen"....the words that are also used to often describe 'pulling' from a car wreck.hvsh

by the way, if Lynch wants to pull Mikey 'into the fold', he should leave him alone.....in Sammy's stomach folds....

I bet this will conjure up more threads on a "Dave-Ed-Al-BILLY SHEENAN' VH lineup.

I actually want to hear the results of this group...if it materializes. Be interesting to see what kind of bass playing Mikey does on a non-VH venture.

Man I would not want Billy Sheehan to be fucked over by the sisters in a Dav-Ed-Al-Billy lineup.

The sisters fuck over everything they come in contact with.
Though Ed has been fucking his liquor bottles mostly as of late...

Dokken - gotta love that band....pure raw metal, melodic, sharp, Lynch's got great hooks - you can tell he took a lot from Eddie, but in his own way....Don's got a great raw voice - kinda like the Rod Stewart of Metal.....underrated band....not anywhere near what they shoulda been...check out 'Under Lock And Key'......pure shred.....

    This is my first post.

Got to say that as much as idolise Eddie (he made me want to learn to play guitar as soon as I heard him and re-invented the world of guitar) George 'Mr.Scary' Lynch kicks seven shades of crap out of Ed these days.

It's as though Ed just can't be arsed any more. More power to Mike if he joins George. The only way to get Eddie motivated again is to get Dave back in the band. He would have to compete with DLR for top billing therefore making for some interesting shows.

I saw George 2wice...once when Dokken opneed for Priest in June of 1986, and then 5 years later...when ABC's "In Concert '91" taped at an old theater in Pasadena....Lunch Mob was the headliner...they also had Little Ceasar there, and Roxette's first U.S. performance.

    I taped the entire show....

Let's see...wasn't the singer Oni Logan? I think it was his last show with them...and good riddance..he sucked ass...

    Lynch smoked!

Agreed, but if it came down to Mikey bringing Hagar in to sing, would just as soon have Mike give lead vocals a shot, just for sheer novelty value of nothing else...since Hagar on vocals isn't even remotely funny.

Don't see too much into those news.

Mike can simply work as a session man. Who forbids him to?

Face it, Van Halen is done. Eddie is drinking himself and he'll never get sober or pull his head out of the bottle.

He's nearing his fucking fifties, people. People that old don't change with no God sent miracles...

He's done, he'll die as a fucking boozehound, not even the shadow of his formerself.

Mike, or Dave, or Spammy, or whoever involved with VH, has any right to go on with his life, while Eddie throws his into "Smoking Loon" and other assorted bottles of booze.

Mike can sing and he's got a good voice. Don't forget that you have never heard him singing in the studio, but just live. If we had to judge a singer off of live performances, we all know Dave's live performances aren't exactly his best and that he's screwed up often; should we go and say that Dave is a lousy singer? I doubt so.
