Video's absolute shit here, but a decent performance audio wise, with dueling slide guitars from Woody & Mick Taylor......
Soundboard? Yeah... I don't think so.... but not bad for an audience recording.
I just hope Mick Jagger's voice wasn't that loud for the audience, it's louder than the rest of the band.![]()

Bad news is that the movie was never made. Worse news is that this is apparently where Allen Klein first got involved with the band
Another take on "Neighbours" here. This one seems to be a rough mix of the Tattoo You album track, as it has the sax & keyboard parts on it. They just aren't as loud here, nor are Charlie's drums amped to infinity like they are on the record. Still like the early take with the extra guitars better, but this one's a close second....
Ironically... they show a bunch of pictures of Bobby Keys during the sax solo in this video. It wasn't even him! Sonny Rollins played on the track.

And yet another ancient video remastered. I can honestly say I never saw this one before today........

They're putting out a lot of lyric videos, too.

Yeah I saw that, though I'm not sure why. Like everybody doesn't know the words to "Miss You" already??![]()
I was surprised they left "Puerto Rican girls" in there. Let's see if they post one for Some Girls and use the edited version.
There's an edited version??
Fuck that... give me the absolutely UNedited version everytime. As in, the version before Bob Clearmountain butchered it....
Pretty sure the Universal remaster dropped "black girls just want to fuck all night."
I have the Virgin remasters of stuff that I didn't have the originals of.
Yeah.. that line always caused problems... my mom broke my original vinyl copy of Some Girls after she heard that lyric. It was the one with the original album cover too, goddamn it.![]()
Jérôme Frenchise (11-26-2022)
I have an original Some Girls vinyle copy and love to play it. One of my fave Stones album.
I also have a first American issue of Sticky Fingers, got it for € 5 as the guy told me the record might not play entirely.
A thick, heavy record.
It skips in the beginning of the second side on Bitch.
It's a well-know fact that bass guitar will especially stand out on vinyle records, but it's all the more so true on the Stone's albums.
Bill Wyman was a fantastic bass player.

Jonathan Cohen
2–3 minutes
The Rolling Stones‘ guest-packed Dec. 15, 2012, show at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., will be released as GRRR Live! on Feb. 10 by Mercury Studios. In Newark, Springsteen returned to guest on “Tumbling Dice,” while Lady Gaga duetted with Mick Jagger on “Gimme Shelter,” the Black Keys played on “Who Do You Love?,” Gary Clark Jr. and John Mayer lent extra guitar firepower to “Going Down” and former Stones guitarist Mick Taylor appeared for “Midnight Rambler.”

Just finished reading the Watts bio, Charlie's Good Tonight. It's okay.
I saw it for sale on Amazon.
I'm basically rock star bio'd out anyway, but seeing that the new Watts bio is authorized makes me less likely to want to read it. Someone commented that the book barely makes a passing reference to Watts going a bit off the rails in the 1980s re: drugs, which leads me to believe the book was pretty sanitized.
The Stones, Beatles and Led Zeppelin have been beyond overdone in terms of video/print bios and documentaries, anyway.
Yup, they blew right over the addiction phase.
It's kind of a collection of quips from everyone, about everyone.
Terry (12-20-2022)
I think most people are still unaware that Charlie even HAD a "drug phase". Hell, I thought I knew damned near everything about the Stones, and I didn't even know about that until long after the fact. He certainly seemed like the last guy in the band who would go that route. Ironically, that left Bill Wyman as the guy with the least bad habits in the band. Think all he did was chain smoke cigarettes and a little bit of weed. (talking about substances here, not his affection for the teenage girls, which was entirely a different matter)
And before I forget.... Happy 79th birthday, Keef!!
Shirley Watts...dead

Allegedly this is a leaked track from that new album the Stones have been working on for years now.......
let's just say it kind of gimme gimme gimme the honky tonk blues.....![]()
Something's not right. Not enough "weaving."
Maybe... but if they recorded it in 2020/21... it's a little hard to do "weaving" when you're on different continents.
I thought they had most of it done before the scamdemic.
Tour talk heating up. 40x5 Tributo Bar, from Argentina, posted this on their Insta:
The NYC arena thing could be the new arena where the Islanders play. Or maybe Yankee Stadium or Citi Field. Not sure they've played those two. Arenas seem unlikely at this point though. We return to the United States to see the biggest show on the planet, the one that in Europe 2022 left everyone speechless.
Last year we were in Madrid, Liverpool, Milan, London and Brussels, and it was one show better than the other.
The new tour is scheduled to start in May-June and there are no confirmed cities yet.
We believe that New York City will be in the game and that they will play in a fantastic arena where they have never played before.
The USA 2021 tour did not go through 5 cities that had been announced in 2020 and canceled due to a pandemic.
Vancouver, (Canada), San Diego, Louisville, Cleveland and Buffalo. We'll see if they're still in the plans.
As we said before, we also want the Stones to play in the fabulous Chicago, stunning San Francisco, packet Boston, New Orleans and some of the ever-joyful state of Florida.
Could Mexico be annexed this time to the North American section or will it continue to be part of the Latin American section? There is no less information to think about this: The 2026 World Cup is set to be played in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
And after the USA? We already left our sentence in a featured story. There we mark a time line taking November 20, 2023 as a random day. And we risked it, by then we already received them for the fifth time, or we have the tickets in our pockets.
But it's just a fervent desire decorated with intuition and the best of vibes.
In the meantime, if you have the chance to give yourself the treat of your life, let's go see them where they became the biggest band in the world.
Walking and singing through Central Park, even though people think we're crazy...
Maybe I better get my new passport in case I have to go to Toronto again.

Did you see the Stones watches by Nixon? I got the Sentry Leather. I don't wear any other jewelry but I like watches.

I hate wearing watches and pretty much stopped after cell phones were invented, but I might have to change my mind now.
Even from a brand called "Nixon"?![]()
Hey, we all know Tricky Dick was a Stones fan....
Mister President, Mister Immigration Man,
Let me in, sweetie, to your fair land.
I'm Tampa bound and Memphis too,
Short Fat Fanny is on the loose.
Dig that sound on the radio,
Then slip it right across into Buffalo.
Dick and Pat in ole D.C.,
Well they're gonna hold some shit for me.
Jérôme Frenchise (01-10-2023)
Apparently Nixon was going to fire J Edgar Hoover but Hoover had photos of Dick getting his dick sucked in Hong Kong. British Intelligence were nice enough to give Hoover copies of the photos.
Well that’s how things run. Politicians with little self control end up not controlling much. It’s the people with the photos that really run things and the stupid public can argue over what team is better.

Well Dick was nice enough to see Elvis in the Oval Office on a last minute notice. What was great is Elvis brought a gun to give to the president. Only Elvis could get away with that shit. Fame is powerful mojo.
This performance should make the "new" live album worth buying. Probably the best Midnight Rambler since 1973.... for obvious reasons....
