The big takeaway from that Rolling Stone article is the confirmation of what I and others have long expected to hear.....

Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman WILL be involved in the upcoming shows. Guess I'll have to find somebody with a big screen and a cable box for the pay per view show.

And here's another one of those songs that sounded better before it was chopped up and over-produced.....

I want Ladies and Gentlemen on 180 gram vinyl and I want to pay $25. I have $25 for you Mick... Put out something fresh you dolts. I have 20 copies of Jumpin' Jack Flash and Ruby Tuesday...

Ford, you can come over to watch the PPV but you'll have to use my Superbowl XL commemorative bathroom. And it's about 3100 miles away from you.

"Ladies and Gentlemen" is the Stones at their very best.

Thzt said, they were already at their top on the '73 Tour - in Brussels for instance.

Keith commenting on that show last year was awesome, he looked so delighted and so impressed by the band,
especially complimenting Bill and Charlie ("a revelation").

Mick fucks his part up by saying first that "Billy Preston was there", which is totally unimportant (Preston was rather a nuisance
than anything else to the Stones on stages with his sloppy keyboards and vocals).

2/3rds of men go bald by 60.

Doing the sums that means the chances of all 4 men in their 60s all keeping their hair is around 1.2%

So which of them are actually bald do you think?

None of them is bald, I think. Another unusual thing about them - hair longevity.

There's been a few times in recent years that I thought Mick might be wearing a rug. And you know his vanity would never let him go on stage bald

Woody too, for that matter. His hair seems to be completely unchanged from those Faces BBC videos from 1972, and is that even possible??

Keef seems to be wearing either a hat or a bandana constantly these days. Not sure if that's baldness or possibly concealing a nasty scar from the brain surgery that resulted from his ill fated adventures with the palm tree a few years back.

You might well be right about Ronnie, FORD... How could he still have that much hair...

As for Mick, well... It's hard to figure him out bald, just as it is Ronnie...

Maybe Bill Wyman is the one who has kept it best, though he's the oldest one ( 74 years old... )

After all maybe all of them wear wigs, who knows.

Here's another video that you probably never saw.... not that it's really much of a video - just the whole thermal camera gimmick, similar to the one used on the album's artwork......

But here's the weird thing.... the song here actually is a little bit longer than the album version, and I don't even think it's a Clearmountain chop job this time....

Funny thing about that Sex Drive video..... Bill Wyman is in it, even though Woody actually played the bass on the track. Bill did NOT show up in the High Wire video which was recorded about the same time, though he DID play on that track, and Woody did not play on it at all (either guitar or bass) yet appears in the video.

Don't suppose all the young barely clothed women had anything to do with his choice considering it would be his last appearance with the band, eh, Bill?

A new Stones Archive release..... taking a different approach this time, with a club rehearsal gig from 2005......

    Light The Fuse

The band traditionally kicks off each world tour with a surprise appearance in a suitably small space. For the 2005 tour, that space was Toronto's Phoenix club, where several hundred ecstatic fans got to see the group test out new songs from A Bigger Bang, experiment with an alternative arrangement of "19th Nervous Breakdown," and have some fun with covers ranging from Otis Redding's "Mr. Pitiful" to Bob Marley's "Get Up Stand Up".

    Tracklist:
    01 – Rough Justice
    02 – Live With Me
    03 – 19th Nervous Breakdown
    04 – She’s So Cold
    05 – Dead Flowers
06 – Back Of My Hand
    07 – Ain’t Too Proud To Beg
    08 – Band Intros
    09 – Infamy
10 – Oh No Not You Again
11 – Get Up, Stand Up
    12 – Mr. Pitiful
    13 – Tumbling Dice
    14 – Brown Sugar
    15 – Jumpin’ Jack Flash

Looks interesting enough, but I would have much rather had the complete El Macambo club gig from 1977.

By the way, the UMG douchebags are sticking to their usual fucked up policy of releasing only the crappy ass lossy MP3 bullshit to the US Market. So while it's well worth the $9.00 for the FLAC files everywhere else in the world, not so much for the lossy crap here.

So if you're in the US, you can get the real deal HERE. And if RIAA/UMG spies have a problem with me posting that link, go fuck yourselves.

As long as you continue to deny the actual releases to the American Stones fans, I will provide a way for them to be available.

Ok, now this is a little weird.....

It's got a Classic Stones vibe to it. But the weird thing here is the song it bears the most resemblance to..... is a song that was included on some "pre-release" bootleg copies of "A Bigger Bang", but was thought to be a fake by Stones fans, because it just didn't sound like Mick singing (though the Keef imitation on guitar was fairly accurate)....

So..uh, just what in the fuck is THIS!?!?!?

Yeah Mick, keep whoring yourself out for a fast buck every few years. Hey maybe you and the cerebral members of ABBA can get together and do a 2012 'Dancing Queen' vid - like the 'Dancing In The Streets' vid you did with Bowie that should have ended your career right there and then.

My god ! I agree with you on something. Somebody get me a doctor. I fucking HATED that Dancing In The Streets video. Not to mention on regular t.v. during Live Aid they played it over Led Zeppelin's reunion. LOL. Thought you would like that part. Mick couldn't have looked and acted more like a homo ! I lost alot of respect for him then. Made me hate Van Halens version.

I would... but then, I can't say I hate ANY Stones album.

There's something good on all of them.... though admittedly, less so on "Satanic Majesties Request", "Undercover" or "Dirty Work".

Speaking of which, here's something featuring Kristy's favorite guitarist......

Satanic is pretty weak considering the era, but I've always liked Undercover, and can still find plenty of obscure coolness on Dirty Work. I might like them more because most people aren't familiar with them.

VH should take note on how real videos are made these days. Makes an average song look and sound so much cooler...

Well, they did show up in London. Unfortunately Mick Taylor only played on one song, and apparently Wyman only played on two. And not even together

This is probably the best footage I've seen from the show. Obviously not pro-shot, and not very good audio. But at least you can actually see MT on stage.....

Cool stage Mick & Mick sound good. I don't understand the one song thing. Sounds kind of stupid. But at least they are there.

Mick Talor has probably moved around here more than he has in the last 27 years on stage.

So funny how he hurried after Mick Jagger who seemed like he was jogging away to have a break from him
    on the upper side...

Keith and Ronnie stayed before Charlie's kit - and apparently only Keith really thanked him in the end of the tune.

Amen to that. I agree completely. Ronnie's a cool cat, but the Taylor years were golden. Always thought Keef would be the one to hold a grudge, but Jagger can be a prissy bitch.

Yes, but that time period was also riding the wave of MT's talent. They coasted on Taylor's fumes until they ran out in the early 80's. it would take another half a decade or so for the Glimmer Twins to find their mojo again.
