"Avant Garde is French for bullshit.”
Better late than never..... the Stones finally play a 34 year old song on stage for the first time.....
Warning: video and audio quality are absolute shit. Presented here purely for historical value.

This lil' beauty just landed on my desk. 32" x 36".
"If I had have been offered either a trip to the moon or sitting in with The Stones, I would still have been strapping on my Tele saying screw the moon" - Keith Urban
Here.
Drinking re-commencing shortly.
There is a special guest for tonight's show, only hint is someone who has never played with the Stones before.
Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.
Awesome show by the Stones last night! I know I said that if you've never seen them that I don't know if you should go now...I have changed my mind. Much better than the show I saw in '05.
Carrie Underwood was the special guest, on It's Only Rock And Roll.
Woody is playing great. The whole band is, really. Almost like they feel like they have something to prove.
Keef gave us You Got The Silver and Happy.
Mick Taylor was on Midnight Rambler and Satisfaction. Both became extended jams.
I've read rumors of the tour resuming in the fall, I would love to see one more show...just in case...
Doesn't Peter Frampton live out your way? He shoulda hopped up on stage for a little Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Frampton lives in Cincinnati.
Last night's Stones show was in Toronto.
Oh, just assumed they were in Ohio.
No Ohio show. If I can't get one here, Toronto is near the top of the short list of cities I'll roadtrip for a show.
Sheryl Crow guesting in Chicago tomorrow...I've heard rumors of Chuck Berry for the third Chicago show.
Someone mentioned that CB may not be in the best of health, and if he did show he'd probably be a prick about being there.
And probably still argue with Keef about how to play the songs.
So much for Chuck Berry. Taylor Swift is tonight's guest.
Taylor Swift??
Seriously, that's as bad as Justin Timberlake, and at least that was for charity.... and the audience threw bottles at him.
Here's a rarity from the 1982 euro tour. Not sure if they ever performed this one again. Certainly not at any shows where the soundboards were being recorded, unfortunately.........
Swift guested on As Tears Go By

$600/ticket for this tour and that doesn't include taxes, surcharges and fees? Fuck you, Mick. Get cancer.
Fuck that Taylor Swift dragonshit..... this is more like it.....
Kick it man!!!
Do Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow and Dave Grohl somehow think that if they jump up onstage with classic rock legends enough times they will somehow vicariously be thought of as classic artists themselves? Is that the strategy? I guess so. Suppose it's a lot easier than trying to do so with their own talent and songs. Hey, I like Grohl's stuff, but just because he has played with Lemmy and John Paul Jones doesn't put the Foo Fighters in the same league as Motorhead or Led Zeppelin.
Scramby eggs and bacon.
Grohl has pretty much established that he will go on stage with just about anyone, just for the Hell of it. I think he actually enjoys it, from the perspective of a fan of these artists, who just happens to be a famous musician himself. It's getting to the point where the list of classic rock bands he hasn't played with (all or in part) is shorter than the list of those he has. Any kid who ever picked up a guitar dreams of opportunities like that. Grohl's circumstances just gave him a better opportunity to actually do it. I don't think he really gives a shit if it boosts the Foo's sales or not, though I'm sure he also wouldn't complain if indeed it has.
Same is probably true to a lesser degree with Sheryl Crow, as she has appeared with the Stones on several occasions over the years.
Taylor Swift? I'll admit, I'll never understand that. Just like I didn't understand Justin Timberfuck being on stage with them at SARSstock 2003 in Toronto.
I'm just being a cunt to a degree, but I kinda wonder why all these established rock icons are falling all over themselves to play onstage with Grohl. I mean, I certainly don't consider Grohl a peer on a level with Lemmy or John Paul Jones in terms of the music he's made: I like the Foos, but they're nowhere near THAT good.
Maybe Grohl is just a nice guy and it's all just for a bit of fun and I'm just being a dick about it. Whatever.
You're right. He's everywhere and I don't get it. Foos are a fair enough band but they aren't splitting any atoms or reinventing any wheels as far as rock goes. I haven't figured out how he's been able to spread himself so thin and get away with it. People will eventually be sick of his mug, I imagine.
Speaking of Dave, has anyone seen Sound City?
Not yet, but I'd like to see it. Is it any good?
Well, it's great if the subject interests you...watch the trailer...http://www.amazon.com/Sound-City/dp/...ty+documentary
Hmmm...you were going to respond and you changed your mind...??
I've been getting kicked off line. How do you know?
And I knew you were gonna say that. How's that for one-up manship?
But you still don't know what I know...you know?
Apparently, I do not... know.
It's always appreciated. I'm just not that quick and I'm in the middle of a mini Breaking Bad marathon on Netflix. Can't focus!
