I don't have that particular show, but apparently it does exist. Found a soundboard in FLAC format listed on another board....

Apparently whomever recorded the original soundboard tape forgot to turn the recorder on (or put the tape in) until most of "Under My Thumb" was over, but aside from that it's apparently a good quality recording.

Love all of the guitar tracks, yet it's a shame the way the vocal is buried. Sounds like a mid-seventies Bob Dylan tune.

Not bad, though, after a few listening's and booze.

Is Steve Jordon playing on this latest Keith offering? Sure as shit doesn't sound like it. Does sound like Waddy Wachtel's highly annoying Strat playing trading barbs with Richards.

So far this tune sounds better than anything on a A Crappier Bang. What a disappointment that was eh, kids?

Oddly enough, some of the riffs Keef is playing here remind me of the original demo version of "Start Me Up" which is now 40 fucking years old!

Yeah...I'm sure the great Keith Richards gives a flying fuck what your opinion of his music is.....

Sounds good. Love those choppy Keith guitar parts.

Whoever that person on drums is, I do like what's going on there too. The whole thing sounds to me like it was recorded on a ship at sea on stormy waters. How many fucking drummers and guitarists make one say that, I ask yer ...

It is Steve Jordan and Waddy Wachtel. Haven't heard if Charley Drayton or Ivan Neville are back.

So... The Leeds '71 show from the Sticky Fingers big box set... you can download it from Pono... It destroys the old bootleg. Best Stones release since the 72 DVD.

The Rolling Stones under 24-hour armed guard after gig worker is shot dead.

Rock legends The Rolling Stones are under 24-hour armed guard during their
South American tour - after a worker at one of their gigs was shot dead.

Sources say the intense protection plan is being executed with “military precision”,
and has been stepped up after a man was shot dead in a botched attempt to steal
the drinks takings from their packed out show at La Plata stadium.

Here's an early take of Neighbors that recently surfaced. Mick apparently hadn't written the lyrics yet, but the rest of the band is in great form here....

I am sorry but was that music?

It sounded like whale songs drowned in White Blondes Pool Vomit.

Do the Stones know what time signature change is? Do they have more training than Fred Flinstone? Lol I like to celebrate cerebral bands like the Stones...but they might have learned how to play an instrument? A time Change? Instead of making fun of the Beatles could they have learned "The Full Bug." Comedy. And before you explain to me how Plain Vanilla (The Stones) are rich fully articulated comfort. Just Shut The Fuck Up. I am busy giving guitar lessons to Brian Jones. Lol the Stones trying to play the Full Bug. Why do you celebrate people that TRIED and failed to learn their instruments. Punks said Screw It...and did not play instruments...but the Stones tried...and failed. And they convinced you they did? A band full of Justin Beibers' have sold you on their skills. Lol Satan you did believe in the wrong team. I am just....I am sorry, The Stones as great players.....the bar was set by them....very low.

I don't know what to say. Every note was anticipated by me on guitar, nothing new, nothing creative, and Mic talking about fucking women secretly, uh Check! If this is your Ideal of music then yes, Satan you have hell picked out fer me.

I mean this makes Punk Rockers into Shakespeare:

This is all the Stones Ever Were, glad you bought their lifestyle...as they had no music to sell:

Funny how the Tubes can Bury the stones through Elan Musk's transportation system.

0:13:34 - Space Baby is better than any Stones blues song ever written.(-----Period.

    Woah.

Eagle Rock Entertainment will proudly release Totally Stripped by The Rolling Stones. One of the most anticipated releases in recent years, this collection features The Rolling Stones going back to the source of many of their favourite tracks, creating new stripped back versions. Selected material from studio sessions and shows presented here formed the Stripped album of 1995.

Totally Stripped is available as a DVD or SD Blu-ray containing the newly-revised documentary of the same name, or on DVD+CD or DVD+LP featuring the documentary and single CD / 2LPs compiled from live shows [Cat Nos EREDV1224 / ERSBD3024 / EAGDV055 / ERDVLP090]. Additionally a DVD or SD Blu-ray deluxe edition is available, packaged with a 60 page hard book set containing 5 discs which boasts hours of previously unavailable music (three complete shows made available for the first time ever) from this truly legendary act.

These reimagined versions lose none of their impact and emotional heft, and in fact connect with listeners in a different way. Totally Stripped itself is a brand new version of the documentary of the same name, which tells the stories of the two studio sessions and three live shows (The Paradiso in Amsterdam in May 1995, L’Olympia in Paris and Brixton Academy in London in July 1995) that make up this project. The Deluxe Edition contains a CD of favourites drawn from across the live shows and three DVDs featuring, for the first time, ever each of those shows in full.

Following the ‘Voodoo Lounge’ tour, The Stones released Stripped, an album of reconsidered, pared back renderings of some classic Stones tracks, and also a couple of carefully chosen covers. The album mixed new studio versions of tracks with some live songs. The tracks that made up Stripped were taken from two studio sessions that took place in Tokyo [March 3-5, 1995] and in Lisbon [July 23-26], and a trio of live shows in July 1995 at small concert venues in London, Paris and Amsterdam. Keith Richards commented, “There’s something about playing these small venues, the immediacy of it. Also we can keep God out the band, because on big gigs he sometimes turns up as rain or wind”.

As Mick Jagger said at the time, the aim was to “Take the best element from [MTV] ‘Unplugged’, the intimate thing of it, without actually doing it completely unplugged”. This collection is built on the power of lyric and melody, and the material here feels somehow simpler yet potent, as the songs stand on their individual timeless quality rather than on the production techniques and technical expertise that generally come as part and parcel of being the biggest band in the world.

Totally Stripped is the release that the fans have been waiting years for, a document that reveals the inner workings not only of The Rolling Stones themselves but also indeed those some of their most loved tracks. Revealing, intimate and moving, Totally Stripped is unmissable.

Looks good. The only thing that could make it better is if they finally released all of the "stripped" audio tracks from the tour. They actually had a full album's worth of these, and another more conventional live album ready to go, but decided to go with a one disc hybrid of the two. Though the remaining tracks eventually surfaced... some as "b" sides from Stripped singles and the rest in bootlegs with titles like "Stripped Companion"

Can't believe they left this one off the original album. Even bluesier than the original 1965 version....

I have More Stripped, which looks like some older tracks added on to the original CD, and then Unplugged, which is "acoustic and acoustic flavored outtakes from 1968 to 1971." You Got The Silver with Jagger on vocals, and Wild Horses with ram Parker on slide guitar.

Went over to Shidoobee earlier to see if there was any talk of a new Stones album and got fed up trying to find it. That site is so fucked up. I did see someone speculate on a fall tour, saying "they don't fire up the engine" (something Keith likes to say) for just one show.

    Gram Parsons, you mean??

Though this is in dispute.... seems more likely the steel guitar was not Parsons himself, but a guy named "Sneaky Pete" who was a member of Parsons' band The Flying Burrito Brothers.

Regardless, they really should have left it in the song, for Sticky Fingers. Maybe they thought it sounded "too country", since they already had Dead Flowers on the same record?

Yeah, Parsons. I had the back cover of the bootleg up and still typed the wrong name.

So there's the Desert Trip show, and now the Stones have announced a date in Las Vegas, October 19th.

Will there be a full arena tour? As someone at Shidoobee said, they don't fire up the engine for just a couple shows.

Partway through More Stripped, so far it's really good. Haven't gotten into the book yet, but the expanded documentary and the L'Olympia show are great.

    I fully expected this

    http://teamrock.com/news/2016-09-28/...a-moon-release

Rolling Stones line up Havana Moon release

The Rolling Stones will release their set recorded in Havana, Cuba, on multiple formats in November

The Rolling Stones are to release a live package showcasing their historic live set in Havana, Cuba, later this year.

The veteran rock outfit performed in front of 1.2 million fans there in March – setting the record as the first open-air concert in the country to feature a UK rock band.

The film hit cinemas for one night only last week – and now fans will get the chance to own the package when Havana Moon is released on on DVD, Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, DVD/3LP, Digital Video, Digital Audio plus special Deluxe Edition on November 11.

The film was directed by Paul Dugdale and recorded at the end of the band's America Latina Ole Tour.

A statement reads: “As the Stones took to the stage under a perfect Havana Moon for a show that will forever go down in history books as a life-changing moment for a country on the brink of change, there was nothing that was going to come between the band and their fans including the Vatican in Rome who had objected to rock'n'roll in Havana on Good Friday.”

Pre-orders for the live package are now open, with the Deluxe Edition containing the DVD, Blu-ray along with 2CDs in a 60 page hardback photobook.

    Watch a video trailer below.

And later, this pic on Jagger's FB page:

    captioned "Watch this space #playingtheblues"

And this pic shows up a day later

So is the album of blues covers finally happening? Don Was says yes

Don Was Confirms ‘Crude, Authentic’ Rolling Stones Blues Album

Mick Jagger has sent out a tweet that suggested that the Rolling Stones were planning to release an album of blues covers. Since then, we’ve uncovered a few clues, including some quotes from producer Don Was, who says that it might be out in time for Christmas and features guitar work from Eric Clapton on a pair of songs.

Jagger’s tweet featured a picture of a harmonica case that had a few Stones guitar picks thrown in. “Watch this space #playingtheblues,” he wrote.

    Watch this space #playingtheblues pic.twitter.com/INra1Yu9iR

    — Mick Jagger (@MickJagger) September 29, 2016

Word that they had returned to their blues roots first surfaced in April, when Ron Wood leaked the news. “We went in to cut some new songs, which we did, but we got on a blues streak,” he said. “We cut 11 blues in two days. They are extremely great cover versions of Howlin’ Wolf and Little Walter, among other blues people. But they really sound authentic. When we heard them back after not hearing them for a couple of months, we were, ‘Who’s that? It’s you.’ It sounded so authentic.”

A few weeks later, Don Was gave a little bit more information on the project. He said that, in order to loosen up the band, Keith Richards suggested playing Little Walter’s “Blue and Lonesome.” “It was just magnificent,” Was told Australia’s RRR (the interview begins at roughly the 1:54:00 mark). “When they play that music, they become something very true to who they are and something really unique as well. …It’s really good.”

But he also noted that they weren’t sure when it would see the light of day, because they were committed to writing new songs.

Today, French outlet Le Figaro published an interview with Was. We used Google’s translator to determine what he said. “The album consists of covers of blues songs of Chicago,” he began. “It was recorded live in the studio in just three days, with the musicians in a circle around the microphones. There was no retouching on the pieces. Means the battery of Charlie Watts through the microphone of Mick Jagger [Editor’s note: this could be saying that the drums were bleeding into the vocal mic]. The record sounds very crude, very authentic. It captures the essence of what they are.”

Was, who added that it was scheduled for a December release, also said that Clapton sat in on the sessions. “He was recording his own album in the studio next door,” he continued. “He had only to cross the hall to join! Hearing them play in the studio, he had also gasped. … He was still a teenager when he saw them in the clubs of Richmond in their infancy, as a fan. He borrowed one of Keith’s guitars and started playing two songs. It was exceptional enough to see.”

Finally, two weeks ago, Wood again spoke about it on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he and Richards were on hand to premiere Havana Moon, their documentary about their trip to Cuba. “It’s gonna be great,” he said in the video above. “You’re gonna love it. That’s what the Stones are: a blues band. Yeah!”

Of course.... what would the Xmas shopping season be without a new Stones archive release

I get the historical significance of playing Cuba and all, but I really wish they would start releasing some older stuff again.
