I'm trying to watch my Flyers play New Jersey. It's just a constant fucking parade to the penalty box. And we're not talking about "clutching and grabbing" here, were talking about pitty-pat little things. The game is an absolute bore and an abomination,. There's no toughness, because the league wants more scoring. Men play this fucking game!!! LET THEM!!!!!

Yeah, it is a bit slow. But the penalties will begin to subside a bit when the grinders learn not to hump the legs of the more skilled and bore down the game.

I saw the SABRES win 6-4, and get 39 shots on goal (shades of 1982), and there were several good hits thrown throughout the game. I'm not disappointed at all.

Everyone keeps saying that the players will adapt, but even if they do, it's boring, unphysical hockey, designed to allow scorers to score.

I keep hearing how it's so much faster...it's not faster, because they play stops constantly for penalties.

I mean, I just saw a fucking body check get called for a penalty!!!! The puck was right next to the opposing player, but they still call a penalty for making a nice check.

These guys might as well be wearing tampons, because this is women's hockey now....

I like to see rough hockey, but we can't have the Carolina Huricanes of this world clutch and grab when I pay $100 a ticket to watch. Fuck that!

There should be some middle ground. My solution is to give 3 points a win to a team scoring six or more goals.

Forget about drastic rule changes other than that.

Let's see New Jersey's Lemaire preach the trap to his GM if My NHL was in place.

Those who don't comply won't be playing, basically because they'll be the cause of the Power Play goals that's costing their team the game....

And there is NO DOUBT it is more exciting.... That game I was at in Raleigh last night was very exciting in terms of action, and that was only a 3-2 game after the OT and shootout !!!

Believe it or not, scoring is up.

Give it a few weeks before we announce it's demise...

And the whole penatly for a clean check problem has been around for sometime. Any player throwing a beautiful open ice "hip-check" is in serious jeopardy of drawing a roughing penality for at least the last ten years now, in the 70's and 80's, it was like standard hit. Players just lost that mode of hitting since they stopped doing it as much, now it's called a penalty over half the time, and there is nothing against it in the rules.
