What happened to the Press Conference!

After a 6 year layoff and with the announcement of Spam back in Van Hagar, why wouldn't Eddie, Alex, Mike, and Spam hold some type of Press Conference to those fans who are left to support this shrill Best Of tour/Take your money- and make a live public statement?

Instead, everyone is told about the tour in Friday's (USA time) edition of the paper and Spam on Howard Stern.

Kiss held a Press Conference when they reunited. The Stones have done it and U2 did a Press Conference in a fucking K-Mart of all places.

So there you have it, Eddie Van Hagar showing no respect for the Van Hagar heads.

They HAD a press conference - it was a full house as 4 people were in attendance at Sammy's Cabo Wabo bar when the band made the official announcement. In the middle of the announcement one of the homeless guys asked for some more peanuts and Eddie proceeded to tell him the following -

"Shut the fuck up, man - you better wear a cup cause I'm gonna kick you right in the fucking nuts. I'm talking about my fucking hip, man - tonight is about me - no one cares that you're out of fucking peanuts!"

Why is Eddie doing a tour when he said in 96 that if VH ever toured they would have to go back into the studio and create another album.

One. It's not a fucking "reunion!" It's a candy assed way for Alex to pay some bills cos he's hurting. I really think Ed could give a shit less about anyone. He even calls his kid a "Motherfucker" in reference to him with a couple of jockeys. It's all about the booze for that guy.

Two. Everything The Lying Dutchmen said in '96 is now completely and fully hypocritical and the media would bombard them with it.

Oh, but we'll give you two NEW singles? The first of which is apparently entitled "It's about time?" I can already smell the shitty and cheesy-assed metaphors that fucker dreamed up for that one. I bet the word "clever" already has a lawsuit pending naming Van Hagar as the Defendant.

However, it's gonna be impossible for them to escape the press once the tour starts....

You're gonna have radio, print, and TV types all over them.... They can't avoid them....

Or, put it this way, if they start refusing interviews, what do you think their reviews will look/sound like ???

This is just another reason IMO that this tour will not be the overwhelming success the Hagaritas think it will be....-
