They are described (quite accurately) as "The worlds Greatest bar band". Bruce Springsteen wanted to be in the band (this is just a guess-because Bruce wrote a lot of songs for them in the early days).

Its a 10-piece band, with a horn section, and its good old fashioned R 'n' B (real R&B, not the fake R&B people listen to these days, the stuff thats all R and no B), but they also have a lot of rock n roll guitar riffs.
