No, I haven't seen that yet. Have only seen a couple of tunes from that show. I can imagine it just fucking kills.

Yes, the opening of that solo is one of Ed's finest moments. Such a sassy hook. I love it.

As I've said, I walk around with that solo intro playing in my head half the day lately. It's goddamn perfect.

Shit, I had the vid on my hard drive, but its gone now. Totally sucks cause you gotta see it man. You know how from time to time you see something that reaffirms why you loved the band in the first place? This vid was one of those times for me. The entire band is killin.

Can someone please put this up?

I like Me Wise Magic solo and the guitar at the end of the song.
That guitar towards the end just kicks.

I love all Ed's solos especially: "Little Dreamer" and "I'm the One"

Every note on "Fair Warning" is mind-blowing.

BTW "So this Is love" was a combination of Ed's solos; he mixed them together to form one solo apparently.

    The solo from "Beat It".

(This thread IS about the best EVH solo, remember?)
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Good point! that is a masterpiece and a half of a guitar solo and often ignored by VH fans.

BTW the rythm guitar is not Ed it's his friend Steve Lukather.

    "push comes to shove"

but there's alot of awesome parts that are not solos, but aren't rhythm either. in a lot of their music.

"Little Dreamer" solo fucking rocks! God Damn!

Oh, and I HAVE to agree with Big Troubles: "Push Comes To Shove" solo is a mother fucker!

Eddie kills on the Dave ballads.

oh yeah, as i've been reading this thread i've been putting the cd's on
    and listening....

but i have no van hagar. oh well.

yep, i always liked so this is love and push comes to shove,

ice cream man, hot for teacher.

little dreamer is an underrated song!

    one that no-one's mentioned,

the whole second half of house of pain goes through 3 distinct solo's.

i remember this is why i play guitar, it still makes my hair stand up!

and that last bit with the bluesy bent doublestops, and dave wit da 'aah aah'

fuckin superb way to end an album.

    then there was mr. vai!

Fuck man, the solo and outro for House of Pain is my favorite ending to an album ever! Awesome groove and the whole band just sounds elated to be playing! What sucks is it kinda upped the excitement for the next album. Sorta like "Growth" from the WACF. Except exponentially cooler!
