I'd have to say disgust, knowing that it was him and Ed, and NOT Slappy Gaygar that made and defined Van Halen, and he's left out of the picture. What a disgrace. Maybe that'll fuel him to put out another album with originals in the near future.
In his recent interviews, over in Europe, he said he wouldn't hold his breath for a reunion.
The reality of the REAL reunion not happening probably stings a bit, but do you think he is really suprised? The point is the VH brothers are out of touch with reality...and Dave knows it.
I bet if you asked him

3.And all the bad mouthing that has going on since the 1st break-up
Despite the comments that i made, i am a true-blue supporter of DLR
and wishful thinking that maybe that Sammy Hagar and VH will let dave play in the 2nd leg of the tour
i thought that was the highlight of the boring mtv awards, even beck liked it and vh with roth got a huge crowd pop. too bad eddie was too stupid to seize the moment and do the reunion tour then as kiss were selling out arenas across the country on there reunion tour. vvan halen with roth then could have probably played stadiums, now with the stupid soap opera eddie and alex caused they will be lucky to play to half full arenas with hagar and even with roth the damage eddie and alex done to the bands credibility probably couldn't guarantee sellouts.Originally posted by diamonds2

Beck himself said that was just old school dave doing his thing. This is old news. The disapointment is not in Dave missing out on this sell-out falseunion tour, it's in the potential of the real VAN HALEN to produce special music.

I know I'm being delusional, but it makes me feel better...
I think Dave is disappointed and ANGRY.
But I also think Dave knows that the fans do not want this Van Hagar tour. So he gets satisfaction in this.

Frankly, I don't think Dave gives a flying fuck anymore.
Don't get me wrong, Dave is the only member of the band who truly grasps what Classic VH means to people and how special the music was, BUT I also think that after the deception Eddie pulled back in '96 and then again in '00 has basically left Dave with a bitter taste in his mouth. If anything, Dave is probably feeling gratification in seeing Eddie finally expose himself for the phony that he is, and also seeing this Van Hagar reunion suffering from a severe lack of interest in the media, the internet, and most rock stations across North America.

I'd think any bitterness over not reuniting with Van Halen on Dave's part would have dissipated after the 1996 fiasco blew over.
If anything, he'll be smiling at the thought of Sammy warbling in his one-key scream, skipping his tubby ass around the stage, trying yet again in vain to show everybody that he's so much better than Dave, and failing miserably to convince any but the already converted.
Anyone with a modicum of taste already knows what the definitive Van Halen lineup was. Just listen to the radio; classic Van Halen. Christ, even the lead in tunes to announcements of the Van Hagar reunion are invariably classic Van Halen tunes.
