David Lee Roth tour cancelled!

According to SooToday.com, David Lee Roth's concert this Saturday (Nov. 26) at Kewadin Casino in the Michigan Soo has been cancelled.

The casino is citing only "unforseen circumstances" for the cancellation.

Unconfirmed postings on web forums devoted to the former VAN HALEN frontman indicate he's also just cancelled a Friday show in St. Louis and the cancellations may be related to a back injury.

For ticket refunds, call the Kewadin box office at 906-635-4917.

That's my whole point, brother. I think it's more likely that LOU gets laid than VH ever gets back together. But every fucking time there's a story like this, some pinhead like EDDYMON starts a fucking sad rumor or speculation. What makes me sicker than ever is Grammy time and MTV Music Video Awards time.

I've 100% given up on VAN HALEN. I, frankly, almost don't even give a shit what happens anymore.

Fuck, I even remember hardcore Roth fans speculating that the 2004 Tour News was a practical joke, masking the fact that they were actually going to return with Dave, not Sammy.

At this point, VH truly is a classic rock band. In '96, they could have been new, vital and interesting. But now? Fuck no. VH died in 1985, as far as I'm concerned.

I've always enjoyed the original Lynyrd Skynyrd band. I always thought they were one of the more interesting, creative bands to emerge from the 1970s. But they died on October 20 1977...and any attempts in the past 20 years the members have made to convince people otherwise have just been a joke. No matter what happens, they are gone.

And the same with VH. I think it's more likely that PINK FLOYD get back together (and that's never going to happen either). At least they had the guts to do a one-off performance.

Haven't really seen too much about rumours re: an imminent CVH reunion to be kicked off with some surprise appearance somewhere in a few years. Don't doubt they've been persisting...maybe I've been putting my blinders on.

Last batch I really remember was in late 1999 through 2000, and of course in 2001, when Dave and Ed were actually doing something...

Though come to think of it, I do seem to remember last year some people actually speculating that Dave was gonna come on at the end of the 2004 shows and do a surprise set with Van Halen. Just plain ridiculous.

Think what's been going on with the Skynard name since 1987 has been a really sad farce that only gets more pathetic as each classic Skynard member (talking 1973 to 1977 here) dies or gets ejected from the band. Who's out there now? Rossington, Powell and Ronnie Van's little brother along with a bunch of other folks who weren't even around when all that music they now play was being made? Artimus Pyle still bitches about not being included in the current version just as much as he complains how inauthentic it all is...just a bunch of hacks grave robbing memories far as I'm concerned.

In many ways, it's probably better CVH don't reunite now. Too much time has passed, and I seriosuly doubt whatever they could come up with would match up to the legend. Just best off leaving it alone, put out a classic live DVD and thanx for the mammaries.

Lynyrd Skynrd may be gone, but they're getting inducted into the R&R HOF as reported on Yahoo this morning.

With that being said, can we possibly get some support on getting DLR his STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and at least put him on the pedestal where he belongs....he's given us so much more than the Brothers....Are ya with me on this project????

Hey Latin Lover....The Ticket Sales for St. Louis were SOLD OUT! DLR could have sold beyond the seating capacity of that gig! Michigan wasn't sold out, but the gig was in Timbucktoo, MI - hard to even find an airline to fly to it's casino.

DLR doesn't have a problem selling out tickets in an appropriate venue and big city. His Mgmt. just seems to put him in these remote little towns the size of a pencil point...give him mainstream and he'll work his magic.
