Is it possible to put a Gibson in a i.e. Jackson Dinky?
Sure, it's possible (you're referring to a pickup right?)... The problem you'll have is the polepieces won't align with the strings properly. The pickup needs to be F-spaced (Fender spacing; Duncan refers to this spacing as 'Trembucker' spacing). This accomodates the wider Fender/Floyd Rose string spread.

I was wrong about you, brother. You're good.
The old trick was to slant the pickup...ala the O.G. Frankenstein and the old Kramer Barrettas....though you're probably not going to want to route a big hole in your Dinky...
Well... No. (and yes, I'm talking 'bout a 500T.)
Although, I've heard that there wouldn't be a difference in sound etc...
Allow me to be a bit more specific 'bout this:
My Dinky has a Duncan Designed HB-102B 'bucker, which essentially is a shoe-string-budget JB. For the past 3 days & nights, I've been wondering should I change the damn thing. A Gibson 500T's been the point of reference during that time, tonewise.
So, my (now clarified) question is "Can I just pop the fucker in? Without doing any woodwork whatsoever?"
Yes
Yes, but you may have the alignment problem I mentioned. Does it use a mounting ring, and if so, does it fit in that?

Well, I imagine the stock one fits if that's what it came with....
Yes....it can be done
Man, people did it all the time before there were pickups with "F-spacing"...
It works just fine...
I had that problem with the 1st guitar I built...this WAS in the days before F-spacing...ended up with a slightly noticable volume drop on the high 'E'...not TERRIBLE, mind you.
