Damn, I was falling asleep by the end of the first half (not due to boredom for it had been a very good match so far, but because of a pretty loaded apéritif...) though it wasn't even 11 pm, and heard the result this morning on the radio. Argentina through after penalties... I thought Holland would make it. Placed again... Despite a great team, the Netherlaands always seem particularly unlucky in the very last rounds, obviously. '74, '78, '10, this year...

I hope they win the 3rd place on Saturday, and Germany beats Argentina on Sunday.

(a pain in the ass to support the Mannschaft, but gotta recognize they play exceptionally well this year, so they deserve to win this Cup)

sorry, brother Jero...but how can you be such cowards in a semi final...it's in or out anyway. so why play penalty poker? they didn't even try! I honestly hoped for the extra time but this will have no influence on the final. we ran more in the second half leading 7:0 than both teams did to make it without penalties. I didn't see a single player being seized with a cramp during the overtime. that's not how you win a final. that's how WE won a lot of games, but we always had the best goalies in the world anyway.
