Great result for the dyke fillers against Sweden but we proved it's possible to score goals against the Spanish without kicking them in the heart.Comment

In the U-21 playoff v Iceland they scored a great goal and then from the kickoff...

World Cup 2010 star Paul the Octopus was the subject of a verbal attack from Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has criticised Paul for spreading “Western propaganda and superstition.”
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad mentioned the octopus, who became famous worldwide for predicting results correctly during the tournament in South Africa, several times during a speech in Tehran at the weekend, stating that the sea creature represents the decadence and decay that epitomizes “his enemies”.
“Those who believe in this type of thing cannot be the leaders of the global nations that aspire, like Iran, to human perfection, basing themselves in the love of all sacred values” Ahmadinejad declared.
Paul, who lives in an aquarium in Germany, became a symbol of the World Cup after he correctly predicted all seven of Germany’s results and chose the Spanish to reign victorious over the Dutch in the final.
He did so by picking one of two boxes which were placed into his tank with a national flag on, both of which contained a mussel.
Paul is yet to comment on the president's claims.Comment
