Three blokes make on the spot split second decisions then a jury of 10 million people using replay and digital technology hang them out to dry ... Unless the decision goes your way and then they are heroes managing the game In the time honoured traditional way .

In all seriousness it's ridiculous in this day and age to govern the game the way we do without any of the advantages technology gives us .

My theory is that they want it this way because debate about referee decisions 24/7 all over the media, workplaces, bars and everywhere else fuels interest and generates big bucks.
