I could never watch it because it bores me to tears...I hate soccer with a passion! I'm pulling for the U.S. team to win, but I really couldn't give less of a shit whether they do or not...that's how much the World Cup interests me. I don't understand why this sport is the world's most popular sport, why people overseas get so worked up watching this boring shit that they get into fights and stampede and trample people after a game sometimes. I just can't watch the game anymore...well I did watch today and it confirmed all that I hate about soccer.
Pojo alrady talked about the Italy - US game.
Worse than that was the one earlier...Iran v. Portugal.
They play couldn't be sustained for more than 30 seconds for all of the diving!!! Now there were some legitimate calls and even yellow cards for late tackles.
But it was so far past being a joke that only fools can support it. The worst part is that it is the game's biggest stars doing the diving as well.

This talk of not knowing the game is bullshit. I have attended dozens and dozens of international soccer matches and I can't do it anymore.
Watching Honduras fall down for 30 minutes straight (here in Canada) every 45 seconds to waste time and preserve a win.

Fuck me. The truth is that soccer/football is such a part of people's lives the world over (I have been there and seen it for myself) they can't or won't see the glaring flaws.
The problem is that the act of feigning injury or questioning the ref like a little bitch for 90 minutes straight has become what the sport is.
A forum for drama-queen little faggots. Seriously. I can't take it anymore. The game is great to play, but it has been ruined.
Refs have given a few yellows for diving this world cup, but like I said, it is the culture of whining and arms flailing at the call or lack of a call that is so unbearable.
