Dude I know you are hurting but I was completely neutral tonight and the referee had a good game.
Its the earlier games which were ruined by stupid petty referees booking people for fuck all leading to the game being ruined.
The match tonight was excellent and free flowing and the way the game should be. As for the suspension, the guy fucking punched someone yet he was still going to be allowed to play in the final.

The rule is that if the referee acts at the time then FIFA can't so Figo's headbut didn't get him banned because he was booked at the time.
In the middle of a fight after the game the referee missed the punch so it can be acted on.
You can't say that Germany doesn't have a lot of influence at FIFA. The fact you got to host the World Cup when it should have been in South Africa proves that.
Anyway Germany has rode her luck for a long long time. Relying on always winning penalty shoot outs in vital matches isn't football. Italy hit the woodwork twice and won 2-0 when you had home advantage.

The penalty against Australia was a little soft but it wasn't a dive and I'm still not sure it wasn't a correct decision.

Italy desserves to get out of that competition with no title. I can't stand the sight of them. They qualified on a hold-up vs Australia, and it's true they all spend most of their fucking time lying on the grass as if they were about to die.

As much as I was seething from our bitter yet controversial loss to Italy, I just simply think the ref made a wrong decision and put it down as an honest mistake which cost us dearly, since he is under pressure to make the decision then and there, and also doesn't have benefits of replays and sees things from different angles. I can't go as far to say, yet, that he wanted Italy to get through. He gave a an Italian player a red card which even I thought was a bit harsh. I guess I lay blame on Grosso who did indeed took a dive and it shows in his body language. Lucas Neill, the player who made the tackle, went for the ball fair and square - not the man. He's lying on ground literally with nothing to do, except maybe grab a spade and dig himself under. Grosso could've easily gone around or jumped over him. Instead, he makes sure he goes over gets clipped minorly in order for him to be brought down and make a good show of it. The Italians will do whatever it takes to win.
A good win. Italia.
