Yeah we are at the top of a cycle.

No playoffs and only one team goes up due to the self serving rules set up by the teams in the top division so it's a nightmare to get out of the 1st division in Scotland.

Ahead of us is 1 or 2 years in the top division followed by relegation, a resulting financial crisis and then about 10-15 years before we win the league again.

Most teams our size at least have the odd cup final in between. We won the league cup in 1971 which I was too young for and before that it was the FA cup in 1921.

It's a lot more fun being top of the 1st than bottom of the premier league but you just have to get on with it. Our best players have already been bought by the teams we'll be playing.

The US draft system is so much better...

Mate am already planning my Friday night out around next years championship season .
Seemingly we won the fairs cup in 196whatever . Was to young to remember and since then were just a good excuse to go out with the lads .
