SAMMY HAGAR (VAN HALEN) has posted the following update at his official website:



"We have it on good authority that details are being finalized on what is looking to be the BEST cruise ever offered- a Redrocker themed cruise!



The cruise would leave from Los Angeles sometime in April of 2006 and make its way down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Details have not been confirmed yet but there are rumors of killer entertainment on the way to Cabo and a private Sammy and the Wabos show at the Cabo Wabo Cantina for people who have purchased this package.



This package will be offered first online at Redrocker.com and CaboWabo.com. Check back for more info- we think these packages will go on sale next week and we know packages will sell-out FAST!"





Hmmm..... I wonder what the weight limit is on a boat like that.

SAMMY HAGAR-Themed Cruise Planned For April - Dec. 14, 2005

According to a posting on Sammy Hagar's official web site, a Hagar-themed cruise is currently being planned for April 2006. The cruise would leave from Los Angeles and make its way down to Cabo San Lucas. Details have not been confirmed yet but there are rumors of "killer entertainment" on the way to Cabo and a private SAMMY AND THE WABOS show at the Cabo Wabo Cantina for people who have purchased this package.

This package will be offered first online at Redrocker.com and CaboWabo.com. The packages are expected go on sale next week.

As previously reported, the first U.S. outpost of Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina has been named a top location. The hospitality industry trade magazine Nightclub & Bar compiled a list of the Top 100 bars and clubs in the U.S., and Hagar's operation in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, made the list. The honor will be officially presented at the Nightclub & Bar/Beverage Retailer Beverage And Food Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas in March.

Hagar has plans to open several more Cabo Wabo locations across the U.S. He's got one due in St. Louis in spring 2007.

Hagar owes EVERYTHING he is to David Lee Roth. Without Van Halen, Hagar wouldn't be able to play to fifty people a night and he'd be lost in the "whatever happened to" columns with Eddie Money and a stupid trivial pursuit question.

Before you call Dave a "talentless twit", you'd better check your history, junior - David WAS the promotion that got Van Halen where they were back in the 80's. Oh sure, the guitar freaks loved Eddie, but when it came to mass appeal, a good portion of the songwriting, album design and packaging, layout, interviews, promotion, David floated that boat himself because those asshats Eddie, Mike and Al were too damn lazy to do it themselves. Proof? David put down six albums worth of Van Halen material between 1978-1984; Van Hagar managed to record 4 albums between 1986-1995, each one which subsequently sold LESS than the one before it.

The only "other things" Sammy has been talented enough to do is to hawk every single thing under the sun to his brainless fans (or what's left of them) for a quick buck. As far as a far superior human being is concerned, David's volunteered his time and energy as an EMT, hooked Eddie up with his dad a few years back to assist him with his cancer, etc etc...

Between Hagar and Roth, there's NO comparison. Hagar has ridden in David's shadow ever since Van Halen brought him into the public eye - and Hagar always WILL ride in David's shadow.

Period.
