Cool I say warden warden warden wontchoo break yo lock and key

Ize been on a Doors kick lately. Read a cool book by Stephen Davis,"Jim Morrison:Legend, Life, and Death."...an' I found out that Meyer Lansky was also being tried in Miami the same time as Mr. Mojo Risin' and Morrison was sleeping with one of the gangster's mistresses. When he found out about thiz...it only motivated him more!!...an' I read that Ronald Reagan was going to pardon Jim but at the last minute reneged...you couldn't mention Ronald's name 'round The Lizard King after that or he'd break into a fit of cursing...an' I also read that Elvis copied Morrison's black leather look for the '68 Comeback Special...lastly, the book said that Harrison Ford was a part of The Doors road crew...

Nah we talkin' some blues right here, right nah yez yez yez...talkin' the three b's...not Bach, Brahms, and Beethoven...talkin' barrelhouse, blues, and the natch'l boogie woogie nah I said yez...alright alright...Yez Yeah, baby!!

Nothin' but the best and later for the garbage.

    Maggie M'Gill--The Doors

    Hoodoo Man--Junior Wells

    44 Long--Rufus Thomas

    Rock Me Baby--Muddy Waters style

Rock My Plimsoul--The Jeff Beck Group

    Ida Red--(traditional)

Step It Up And Go--Blind Boy Fuller

    Sho' Nuff'

It wouldn't change the overall direction of the "Diamond Dave" album, but I'm sure that, like all that's already been suggested here, Dave would feel damn comfortable singing Taj Mahal's "Ain't that a lot of love"...

    "You gotta dig it baby..."

    Strut by Taj Mahal

and then I quoted my favorite lyrics from it:

"drinkin'your white-lightnin' and talkin' all outta your head"

    sorry about the confusion, Maximus

and a "rounder" or as I say a "rounda" is a guy who gets around.

    Loons,

    I do.

You and I are going to do an original. Both of our stellar yet twisted minds will come up with something crezzi, soul and a lot of attitude. Seriously, we're doin' it. You're playin' harp on it too.

thats what the blues iz all 'bout right there

I wanna hear Dave lay out Boogie Chillun

One night I was layin' down,
I heard mama 'n papa talkin'
I heard papa tell mama, let that boy boogie-woogie,
it's in him, and it got to come out
    And I felt so good,
went on boogie'n just the same

I wouldn't mind Roth doing a "Just Me and the Hook" type album. That would kick some ass, no?

    Slim Harpo - I'm a King Bee
    T-Rex - Jeepster
    AC/DC - Riff Raff
*original artist* - Baby Please Don't Go (why? to piss all over Aerosmith's take on the subject)
Yardbirds - Train Kept A Rollin' (see above)
Dave Edmunds - I Hear Ya Knockin'
Dr. Feelgood - Milk & Alcohol
Elton John - Saturday Night Alright For Fighting (Nickelshit's already done an easily improvable cover of it...)
Little Richard - Keep On Knocking
Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels - Devil With A Blue Dress On
Mountain - Mississippi Queen (or Nantucket Sleighride)
    Queen - Dragon Attack
Robert Palmer - Bad Case Of Loving You
Blues Brothers - Gimme Some Lovin'
    Beatles - Come Together
The Hollies - Long Cool Woman
Thin Lizzy - Me & The Boys Were Wonderin' How You Girls are gonna get home from here tonight (That's what Lynott called it...)
Beatles - Day Tripper (á la Whitesnake)
Budgie - In For the Kill
CCR - Down On The Corner

    And just for kicks:

Kid Creole & The Coconuts - Off The Coast Of Me
(same as above) - Call Me The Entertainer
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Big Joe Williams wrote Baby Please Don't Go...although legend has it, he stole the song from Bessie Smith, The Empress Of The Blues. My favourite version of the tune is by Memphis Slim, although I think F.O.R.D. would agree that AC/DC did the greates' version.

Tiny Bradshaw wrote Train Kept A Rollin', also the first song Led Zeppelin ever jammed on.
