Just never saw the big deal with him, ever. Even long before his conservative viewpoint came into the picture.

The man can play guitar, no doubt. Not really very creative or original, but as far as mid to late 1970s sped-up blues pentatonic players went, he was good. Man likes his pussy...well, fair enough. Have heard a lot of his stuff over the years, but was never enthused about any of it to the point where I wanted to buy it for myself.

Suppose as a political pontificator he's a decent guitarist. That about sums it up.

Ted's a good guy. If you ever spent 5 minutes talking to him you would see that a lot of what he says is schtick. He has been quite a dog as far as the ladies are concerned, but that has changed over the years. He absolutely worships Shemane (his wife). As far as guitar goes, he is far far from progressive, but he can improvise in any key, any time signature pretty damn effortlessly.
