VH in the Hall of Fame?

Any word on the street when (not IF) VH will be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame? If there is any chance of a VH/DLR reunion, this will be the time they bury the hatchet for at least one evening. My prediction.

It's been 25+ years.

I think this joke actually will propel them in. I don't think the voters are all that discriminating, after all friggin' Jackson Browne got in. I think they just forgot about Van Halen. But they will be inducted, all except Gayry.

Unfortunately, the Van Hagar reunion is legtimate enough where the voters won't think they went out on such a sour note.

You have to question the Hall of Fame's definition of rock and roll.

Some of the inductee's could be classified as such, but I guess if Prince can get in ...

Van Halen's induction will have nothing to do with Sammy being in the band, their legacy for the Hall will be from the first 6 albums.

I think Prince falls under the general umbrella of rock and roll. I mean look at the motown acts that got in, I wouldn't call it "rock and roll" but they definitely deserve to be enshrined somehow.

I agree Van Halen will make it only because of the original 6, my only point is that reuniting with Hagar brings the name back out there again to kind of remind people that they once existed. I'm firmly convinced getting into the R&R HOF, along with the almighty dollar, are the two reasons for this tour. I bet Ed's a bit miffed he didn't get in first ballot, seems like a pretty proud dickhead to me.

Listen Moby, everybody knows that Van HALEN should have been inducted for their first album alone, let alone the 5 that followed it, in their first year of eligibility. But they weren't even considered. And the only reason that could be, is that Eddie has not only alienated Van HALEN's fans, but the music industry itself as well. The man has made himself the punchline of a pathetic joke for 8 fucking years. Musically, for 11 years before that, with all the top 40 pandering cheese ballads.

I can't blame the musicians and media types at the HOF for dissing Eddie. Not at all. At this point, I don't even want him in Hell!
