I was in the West Palm Beach broadcast area visiting family for Christmas and I caught a DLR radio show promo on TV. I didn't know it was a DLR commercial until the very end when they show his name so I wasn't paying that much attention. But it did seem to be in line with Dave's style of humor from California Girls/Just A Gigolo/Yankee Rose videos. Something about an old man buying shoes at a trendy shoe store where young women shop?? Anybody else seen it?

those commercials suck. i thought a cool idea would be with him going "hello, this is dave. i'd like to talk to you a little about life..." just like in the video. then the commercial would show a ton of clips from the cvh days up to now. i guess it could be worse, the clips could be of dave shaking jack all over the midgets and donkey....
LOL I thought the promos were garbage and if I didn't know Dave was going to be on the radio prior to watching those, I still wouldn't have a clue.

it seems that because dave is so damn ugly they think it will hurt their ratings having him in it. it's kind of ironic that most of dave's appeal in his heyday focused on seeing him rather than hearing him and now the opposite appears to be the case. i think that he looks terrible and sounds terrible. but good luck all the same....

Maybe it was too low brow, but I seriously didn't understand them. Plus it didn't help when both vids were cut off. It cuts off as soon as it shows the quotations?? And how come Adam Corolla gets to appear in his but not Dave? Hmm. I do not like these radio spots. Hope his shows are better.
how about 2 midgets on donkeys in a heated argument over who's the greatest radio personality when in bursts dave, shakin jack all over them while an announcer says "if u ain't listening to dave, u don't know jack...." this could turn into a string of ads with different settings, same punchline....dave better order lots of jack
