Did you miss the punchline, sweety?
The last week in May is when Dave and Be Young! will be going to Nashville. They will be on CMT and GAC (Great American Country) channels. Check your local listings. I can't do everything.
Dave is freakin' hilarious this morning! Why the heck can't I wake up feeling this groovy every morning? I got to try harder.
And I love it when he talks about his world adventures.

Dave debuted Jamie's Cryin' today about half way through the 3rd hour. First he played just the vocal map with minimal instruments. His vocals are stellar! Check it out!
He played Jump in it's entirety as well. Not as good, but I like it.
I'm still on the fence with how I feel about this whole project. Once I get the album, I'm sure I'll sway one way or the other.
I'm just not sure if I like the idea of Roth pimpin' his songs to country. On one hand I can dig it because Roth seems really into it, and very pleased with the way it came out. And besides that, I love hearing all the Roth I can. And like NG said, his voice sounds stellar.
On the other hand, these songs were made to rock!! And they don't so much on here.
The solo on JUMP (normally Ed's guitar, on this version its a fiddle and then a banjo, I think) sounds fairly cool.
I liked JUMP more than JC, by a smidge.
Hell yeah...Dave's voice sounds mint on both tunes.

I have mixed emotions as well with Dave being a part of it. The idea of a tribute in and of itself is an awesome idea and major props. It's obvious Van Halen has inspired musicians of every kind foreva!
Dave doing all the country TV and what not, I don't know. Of course, I love the opportunity to see him whenever; and it sounds like he will be on TV a lot!!!!!!!!!!! GAC (Great American Country) has said they even want to broadcast a concert.
The exposure could help or hurt him. It's a coin toss. But he never asked me what I think, so be it. He can do what he wants, and I'll sit back and enjoy.
Jump got me thinking that Dave's Strummin' with the Devil who Went Down to Georgia.
That must be some good shit you're smokin'...
