I'm gonna finish my final project in the middle of the June. After that I'm going to back to Finland, spend the midsummer there, then pack my packs and take a trip to eastern Europe. Going to see a lot of things that they sing about in the Van HALEN songs.

I'm not going to go to any lameass concerts and wonder afterwards what it could've been like to see some of the REAL WORLD.

I disagree. there were too many great Dave tracks left off the first one so they have to include them on BOV2. They'll probably be an equal amount of both Sam and dave and probably one Gary tune.

If that is the track list, that is hilarious. Even with a Spammy reunion they have to fill over half the album with Dave songs. I bet this is not the track listing. Just look at the picture of the band, this is the new serious "Van Hagar" theres no way they would release an album dominated by far superior Van Halen tracks.

You know what'll be interesting? If, as LSD has said, the Best Of Vol 2 (if it in fact even exists as a planned release) is going to include two new Van Hagar songs on it, is how well it will sell compared to the Best of Vol 1.

Am pretty certain most of the Best of Vol 1 sales had to do with the two then-new 1996 Roth tracks, because I'm not buying Eddie's 1996 statement that they did the Best of Vol 1 because there were tons of fans coming out of the woodwork in the 1990s telling Eddie they only knew of Van Halen as Sammy, Ed, Al and Mike, and hadn't yet purchased the classic Van Halen catalog.

Personally, I'm only interested in a Best Of Vol 2 video companion that has a more balanced representation of the Roth era.

Unless the Best Of Vol 2 audio release has some new Dave on it, I'm not gonna bother, and will bet there are many who feel the same.
