Sex Pistols doing this is so contrived and so predictable that it's actually quite embarrassing to see.

Did they prove anything when they swore live on National TV? No. It's just the Pistols being the Pistols. For them not to do this would be for them to piss on there own legacy (trust me, the Pistols have gained a lot of respect from their fan base for this).

I'm part of their fan base, and this, to me, is nothing more than a publicity stunt. The Pistols haven't been the Pistols in a long, long time.

They ought to take thier own advice and not be a mockery of themselves. Grow with the times. No one who was a fan 25 years ago, wants to see guys in their 50s trying to recapture the punk spirit.

Just another bunch of rich, famous celebs sitting around, patting themselves on the band. Just like the Oscars, the 'People's Choice' Awards, the Grammys, the Emmys, etc.
