    Not in Europe.

In the 80`s, the "Monsters of Rock" was THE rock event of the year, Donington particularly.

I remember the US tried it with...um..was it Van Halen, Metallica, Dokken etc. and it bombed?

This bill looks worthy of the "MOR" banner.

I went to see that show at the L.A. Coliseum.... I had a great time. The food fight before Van Hagar's set was a riot!

    1988:
    Iron Maiden
    Kiss
    David Lee Roth
    Megadeth
    Guns N Roses
    Halloween

Now that is what you call a line up (and I remember this one). One day event with Maiden as the headline act. If I remember righly part of the stage collapsed that day as well.

In 1986 the cunts who organised it decided in their wisdom to ban alcohol going in . So me and about seven of me mates decided that we weren't going to sacrifice a days booze and drunk fucking everything we had taken with us in an hour ( and what we didn't drink we threw over each other ) .

As we were still outside at that point , and being 17 and stupid , we didn't notice that everyone else was throwing their booze over the fence for their mates to pick up .

    Pissed was an understatement .
