There is a brand new Whitesnake DVD that came out last week in the U.S.

As much as I thought Whitesnake was ok in the early days, by the time I saw them in the late 80s, I was bored to death.

It was such an exercise in fakery it was just disgusting. I mean, they played the songs ok, but the whole show was poofed up hair, big clothes, and a lotta rock-god posing.

They opened for Motley Crue, and Motley Crue made them look like plastic poseurs, and the Crue's performance was not particulary kickass....
