    Helmet - Betty

    I love this CD!!!

It's better than "Meantime", IMO, and I think it really inspired a lot of the nu-metal generation...even though most nu-metal, and current metal, sucks.

Helmet is the real deal. "Betty" is their best.

    Waz up?

I bought "Meantime" but I didn't know they made another record.

Kinda weird that Page Hamilton ended up playing for Bowie.

Yeah, a little weird. The guy is really a great guitarist. He can play with much more depth than is displayed with Helmet. He can hold his own in a jazz or fusion context.

I was really into Meantime when I was in college. It was fresh and cutting-edge at a time when hair bands were on the way out and the Seattle scene was becoming too mainstream.

By all means, go out and get "Betty." It is their crowning achievement IMO.
