    Anybody know?
I like 0,08 strings..but when I play hard gypsy mode and I hit the e string on a very high note it sometimes breaks.
    Pisses me off..

I gotta parker fly deluxe guitar..if i put 0,10 strings on it it might help but the 0,08 strings are more flexable.
    Anybody an expert?
Are you pretty much fucked if you don't have a private guitar engineer working for ya?
No. But if I were you, I'd switch over to 0.09's. (I use 0.10's myself) It's gonna be only a bit heavier than what you're used to, but the chance of breaking a string is smaller.

If that don't work, try a thinner pick/plectrum/whateveryacallit. From "heavy" to "medium" etc...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Stevie Ray Vaughn's guitar tech had a brilliant sollution to the problem. He would strip off the insulation off of wire with wire strippers and slip the hollow plastic tubes over the guitar strings. This way you have a protecting sleave between your bridge friction point and the string.
I've thought about that too once..never tried it..thought it would stop full sustain of a string..maybe i'll try that..i must say I haven't been breaking to much strings latley.

If you're the size of Prince a 008 string must seem like a fucking steel rope!

9's are the best, 8's are too thin-sounding and they do tend to break. I can't bend 10's enough for my liking.
