I loved the performance but wish he did an interview, it was kinda different seeing Dave do the country/blue grass thing, when was the last time Dave has gotten this much hype for an new album? I think he looked out of place because he isn't use to the blue grass setting, when he's played rock music for his whole career. I hope Dave keeps getting booked on more TV appearances he deserves it.

    I think that's good...

It's definately Dave though, more in fact, than in recent years...

Wow! Dave was a class act on the show. Looked great (better than he did on Cavuto) and sounded really good. While I was watching I was picturing him with Van Halen and think he could do it better than ever. Wish they would have shown the audience so we could see their reaction. Hope Eddie got to see it.

    A+++++++++ from me.

I hope that the viewing public don't think that this is what he is touring in support of. If he's playing "regular" VH songs, he needs to make that more clear to the casual concert goer.

Dave was nervous as shit and looked out of place. His voice was too loud for the type of music being played. He should've gone with Jamies Cryin' instead of that tired Jump. I would have hoped for a few minutes of interview time too. Maybe Ferguson will give Dave a few minutes?

I thought it was a great performance.

Dave's voice sounded very good, much better than it did at the Boston Pop's gig in '04.

It seemed as if he was itching to do some kicks or jump up and down but kept himself reserved because of the nature of the music being played.

Overall, a solid performance and proof that DLR is still the man!

Would you rather see Dave put on that retaaded, redicules lookin', white long hair thing from a few years back, wear spandex and be the butt of endless jokes or act his age, singing beyond stellar whilst having fun as he's doing right now?

    BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!

I was in the Fuckin' Audience, SPAMtard!

There was ABSOLUTELY NO APPLAUSE or CLAP sign for Dave's performance.....the only time you see the flashing "Applause" sign is when Jay Leno returns from Commercial Break and when the Show Starts/Ends.

So shut your fuckin pie hole and get your lame as running back to MARS!!!

Fuck!!! He's in his 50's already. It's time to accept the fact that people grow older. Compare him to others of his generation and he looks fantastic. Compare his voice to singers of his generation and he sounds fantastic. I'd give some merit to actual criticism of Jump as a bluegrass number but as it is you just sound like another Sheep bleating the same old anti-Dave bullshit. YAWN!

Dave sounded great on what is in my opinion the worst of the bluegrass covers on the Strummin' CD. He'll sound terrific on tour this summer and hopefully they'll only do Jump and possibly Jamie's Cryin' in bluegrass style. BeYoung was there playing last night so that might be an indication that Jump bluegrass style will be included in the tour. Whatever the case Dave has shown that his voice is in top form and we should all be excited about this summer's events.

Um....Ok...LMAO, you should have been embarassed sitting there with your 84' Tour Shirt on, sitting nervously like a little kid, making the horns sign telling everyone "Dave Rules" as they all look at you saying "who is this Dave that you speak of?"

Well, I think the answer to your comments is:

#1 - No "Tour" shirt on me.....something more with a nice "C" Cup Cleavage.

#2 - Your wife knows her "Fags" - She's married to one.

DESPERATE FOR ATTENTION or just plain DESPERATE?

Seems like a question for your wife to answer about her husband.

I take it that your wife wears the pants in your household.

He looked happier than a pig in shit. Smokin players. Loved the solo section especially the banjo piece.

    It's in three threads...
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"

I can't believe we're SO hungry for Van Halen that we would defend this act of embarrassment. OMG He looked retarded..and that cheesy smile and the dancing LMAO...Looks like Hugh Hefner? Sorry not the same dude jumping of the Marshalls or drum riser! Also what's with the hair...granny hair? Come on Dave give it up....Movies...Vegas...Radio...now Bluegrass?
Do you except Dave to look the same and be able to do the same things 20-25 years ago?, I believe Dave is in better shape now than he was 20 years ago.

Look at Spammy compared to 20 years ago, he has gotten fat, more retarded and just keeps getting up on the stage acting like an jack ass, Eddie has made 100% turn for the worst. He went from loveable guitar God to this washed up boozed/drugged lazy ass old man, that doesn't give a shit about anything about his booze and smokes.

I have to say Dave is doing pretty damn good first with the radio gig. which he got totally screwed out of, now he is making the rounds with the TV appearance permuting his album and tour. This might be the best year Dave has had for years.

Only thing that's keeping the VH reunion is Eddie's drunk lazy ass!

I think many fans hate Dave doing the Blue grass because they want to see him do rock and be the old Dave, which is why most people hated his last album.

You're exactly right he's in great shape but as I said before......looked like a tool! Don't get me wrong I'm gonna buy Dave's hot sauce when he's down to that notch on the career ladder...I love me some chicken wings!

listen up cvh fans ..... we fans that were there and saw cvh in thier prime 1978 -1985.... can say whatever we want about dave /cvh ,thier like a member of our family ,we can talk the smack if they do something we dont like .we are no fly-by night fans .last night good point was dave did sound good ,yes .but for some reason i expect a little more stage presence and the old dave ,sorry ,thats the way i like it .... bad points ... jump in bluegrass style was lame .im sure the summer tour will be a lot better than that performance ...... just because you love a band or artist doesnt mean you have to love everything they do ... i love cvh more than anyone ,so i hold them in high standard .but when dave or eddie make a fool of themselves (both have over the last 20 years ) im disappointed for them ... that includes things theyve done on and off stage .... i hope the future is a little brighter than last night .
