Might well have been Extreme. Dave said around this period - long before Cherne joined VH - that aas far as he was concerned their name was simply an abbreviation of "Extremely Boring".

Cinderella also opened on the Eat Em & Smile Tour. At least in San Diego. I saw Bon Jovi on Saturday night with Cinderella opening, then on Tuesday night I saw Roth with Cinderella opening. In support of the Night Songs album.

    Re: 1991 tour question

I saw the ALAE Tour 3 times and I honestly cannot remember who opened.

The EEAS Tour, I saw that tour 5 times...3 times Cinderella opened...Tesla opened twice.

The Skyscraper Tour, I saw 4 times... had Poison twice and Faster Pussycat twice.

    ALAE

Extreme was the opening act. They were suposed to come to Minnesota but cancelled due to lack of ticket purchase. I believe Cinderella was on the bill too. Nobody wants to hear those guys play the blues, for the record. ROCK!

It was definitely Extreme with Cinderella and Dave for the ALAE Tour. Extreme went on first. I was at the Tinley Park, IL World Music Theatre Show and the Alpine Valley, WI show. Dave was great. I was bored for the first 2 hours. I hate Cinderella. Extreme tried really hard, but even though they were big at the time (big a very short time with their ballad More than Words) the crowd didn't seem impressed. It was like they were opening for the Stones. No one shows until the headliner. The arena was half empty when Extreme was on stage.

For Atlanta it was Extreme and Cinderella. The tour was cancelled not long after that date. I still have the tour shirt and wear it weekly.
