Wolfgang Van Halen @ The House Of Blues!

OK, it’s not exactly Wolfgang but it’s my 12-year old son playing the role of Wolfgang Van Halen in my Southern California Van Halen tribute band, PANAMA (www.vhtributeband.com) at the Disney House of Blues in Anaheim, California on Tuesday, June 20th.

The first video is of Clay performing Runnin’ With The Devil

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAPWSn45ki0

The second is Clay performing Ain’t Talkin About Love (which by the way I taught him the day before this show…no lie!)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vvfs8QXbeWE

What you don’t see in the videos is the crowd’s reaction when this little kid cranks it up, so here are a couple pictures of the crowd.

Oh yeah, pretending that you’re Wolfgang has its benefits!

See more pictures from the show here…

I dig CVH tribute bands. Way to keep the music alive!!

and passing it on to the young ones...very nice!

"this singer is no ralph saenz..."

We're actually looking for a new DLR.

For our San Diego Fair show we're having Ricky Mcoy from UNCHAINED (http://www.unchainednj.com) sing for the band.

Nice. Tell Clay "Right On" for me. Great to see the youngsters jammin'.

I think adding the boy was a fantastic idea to play "wolfie".

Very talented kid! Good lookin' boy too.
    How old is he?

My son is 13 and loves Van Halen too. (He wants to be a drummer like his uncle Ozzy Fudd. )

I try like hell to keep things all fluffy bunnies and pink daisies. But brutal truth smacks me in the ass all the time.

Well, 5150 was the studio where they recorded 1984 & Me Wise Magic. So I like it. That's what it represents to me. But the point is that kid is only fucking 12 years old! I'd say invite him to post here, but we would have to block his computer from the picture forum....at least till he's 18.

Don't forget Eddie had "5150" rainbow tape on the back of his guitar on the 1984 World Tour.
