    Def Leppard

    Video Premire on VH1
So, did anyone see it ?
    Does anyone care ?

I liked it the tune ,it rocks and has what it takes, a new twist, without ruinning the classic it came from.

The New Tune/Vid is -Rock On- by David Essex came out in 70 or 73 ,,?

The new album is a visiting of old rock tunes Faces,T-Rex, Bowie, etc

    http://www.defleppard.com/

Did anyone see 20th Century Boy performed by DL on the VH1 Rock Honors show? It was real good treat for the masses like me.

I really like the way over the years, DL has payed to the ones who came before, they are good at knowing where it began and paying
    some respect.

The Band was on tour in Europe, rite now, will hit the States, Tonight,
in NJ.I am put out till Sept, I may go, could be fun.

They hate Def Leppard cause they "sold out". However, little do they know, but Def Leppard WANTED to make it on the charts. They saw Michael Jackson have 7 singles, and decided they could do the same. When Hysteria was released, a lot of people started hating them, saying they'd gone "soft" or turned into "pussy metal". I love em no matter what they do

I hate them, however worse they can be each time they commit a record.

Alot of those (Def Leppard) songs weigh heavily in the soundtrack of my eighties. If you didn't rockthefuckout to Rock Of Ages back then, you ain't right.

Plus the singer claims to have puked on Robert Plant's private jet.

    Fanfuckingtastic.

I still can remember the babe i was with late mid eighties where was VH
nowhere on my list DLR was tearing it up and Def Leppard was
filling some of the crossover void that kept me from hearin Vhagar
    non stop on the Radio.

Def Leppard..... one of my all-time favorite bands.

Love them or hate them... at least they don't suck as much as Bon Jovi.

Hysteria was a masterpiece, so was High 'n Dry. Pyromania was grate too, but could use a serious remix and remaster.... it sounds like shit on headphones.

I re-bought it last year on CD, I have to confess...

But when listening to it again, I thought that the drummer sounded like he had already lost an arm!
And to think that Mutt Lange produced it...

I bought Hysteria at the time (1987 if I remember well), and damn, how disappointing!

    I never liked Def Leppard.

Always thought they were an even shitter version of Bon Jovi.

Joe Elliot can't really sing, but all the guitarist in that band have been good, I must say.

I can see why people like them, they're just not for me....

I love everything through Hysteria. After that my interest dwindled. But I still listen to Hysteria & Pyromania a lot. Great albums. Chick friendly too.

I took a girl 3 hours away to see them. We weren't dating when they played our town a month or so before & she missed it. But when we found out about the other show, she really wanted to go...so, of course I gave in. Had to get me some.

Additional bonus - in the line to get food & drinks, I found $40 on the ground. Double score evening for me.

I´ve listened to that album once, all the songs no matter how shitty some are, sound better by the original artists.

Saw a video of them doing a cover version of the song "Rock On" on VH1 Classic this week. They didn't even do anything special with the tune, either. Just a slavish recreation of the original, for the most part.

Joe Elliot looks like an aging, tubby Dutch Boy Paints model.

Vivian Campbell brings nothing to the band, STILL. Why the fuck is he even there?

Am going to see these fuckers in a few weeks. I hear Elliot's voice is shot. Great.

I like everything they do, however, I didn't listen to anything between Retro Active and X. I just hate that Def Lep is often compared to Whitesnake for being a bunch of "sellout pussies"

Old lady insisted on seeing one of two concerts this summer:

    1) Def Leppard/Journey

    2) Sammy Hagar

Wasn't much of a choice for me, and it wasn't a tough decision, either.

Being a fan who goes to the concert and has the albums gives you the right to bitch about their music. I wish Perry was back in Journey & Vivian was out of Leppard. Then that concert would be something to look forward to. Leppard will still play a lot from Pyro. Billy's Got A Gun is always great when they play it.

Yeah, but I'm really not much of a fan anymore. Of either of them.

I will say that Journey knew their way around a melody and were able to craft some pop hooks back in the day, and Leppard was decent enough in terms of high-profile bands around in the 1980s.

But, for me, a fan of these bands would be someone who still willingly plays and/or listens to their music to this day. I couldn't tell you when I put a Def Leppard record on last - probably in 1987, when Hysteria came out ....

...I never listen to either of these bands unless I hear them on the car radio, and even then I usually end up changing the station because all that gets played are the same half-dozen tunes that I'll see played live in a couple of weeks ...

But there will undoubtedly be a few milfs there, and it's good for me to see RealTime milfs in the flesh once in a while, in the third dimension, as opposed to my usual diet of internet milf porn.
