I doubt he had much influence on the writing - Mustaine has always kept that too himself.

but Poland did bring a lot of fluidity to the bands sound....

It's a shame he's out of the band. He seems to be the most even tempered one of them all.

My buddies and I always called Gar "The blurry one" because on the Peace Sells album cover his picture is kinda blurry. When Megadeth opened for Alice Cooper on the Peace Sells tour, we were hanging out near the backstage entrance of the Sports Arena and saw Gar walking around about 100 feet from us. HE WAS BLURRY IN REAL LIFE TOO! LMFAO! True story.

Good story. Maybe his blurriness was due to his prodigous drug intake!

That's right. I forgot about that. I think he is back doing that type of stuff now. If you have the talent, you can apply it to all sorts of music.

Right now my favorite newer Megadeth songs are:
1,000 Times Goodbye
Prince Of Darkness (especially the beginning)
Die Dead Enough
Disconnect

There are many newer-era Metallica songs I love, but the one song from the post Black-album era that I absolutely love is "The Outlaw Torn".......

Dude, fuck you. You're way back in the past. The fight is over. Now, everyone posting here loves Megadeth. You're a complete idiot who is a week behind the times.

I like "Hero of the Day".... but that should have never been a Metallica song. I don't know, they lost it..... they'll never get it back. Megadeth, on the other hand, will fucking rule when United Abominations comes out.

I wasn't that impressed with Slayer's Christ Illusion. I doubt that you have Usenet access, but I posted it to alt.binaries.sounds.lossless and alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.heavy-metal.

You may be able to get usenet via your isp. Google "your isp usenet".

Oh, sorry. My secretary must've hit the G (which, by the way, does sit very close to the B on the keyboard) by mistake. You'll have to excuse her. She does sit in my lap while she takes dictation from me

The song "Countdown To Extinction" has some crazy riffs in the background. Not their most solid song or album, but some great stuff. Earlier I listed my fav newer songs, but all time favs are:

Good Mourning...Black Friday
My Last Words
Skull Beneath The Skin
Hook In Mouth
Mary Jane
Holy Wars
Angry Again

Well, the movie was basically Dr. Phil-Metal edition, very pussified. The EP was basically a bunch of live tracks...hell, I wouldn't

I hated St. Anger, and I hate Dr. Phil. I guess it's a no. I just thought it would be good to have for archiving purposes.

I was wondering if anyone was gonna get that!

However, I am one of the few people who actually likes St. Anger, purely and simply for the sheer aggression of the damn thing and the fact that emotionaly I find that it makes me very uncomfortable.

It's far from being a classic Metallica record, and it's defiantely not for everyone - almost an interesting experiment really,

But when you watch the film, you realsie why the damn thing sounds like a chaotic cluster-fuck!

Just the title "Wake up dead" makes me think a lot
If you wake up you are not dead.......and if you are dead you can't wake up.....so.....Mustaine would had been full of Heroin when writing that title
Very excellent riff all the song long and too little singing.....I simply like it!
