On a lot of the flights I'm on every second person has a laptop because they are business people. Having to put your laptop in the hold will be a fucking nightmare, holding you up at the other end and god knows how many will get bust by baggage staff.
Also they are banning books at the moment. You can't even read on the fucking flight? Plus all of this will apply the minute you check in so if your flight is delayed for hours you're sitting there bored out your mind.
This sucks. The international airline security committee meet tomorrow so hopefully they'll come up with some sane guidelines. I can live with the no liquids thing but this other shit has to end.
They should forget the PC shit and start profiling like fuck. What is the point in the US security checking 1 in 10 people at random? Are they still doing that? So if you are a terrorist you have a 90% chance of getting through? Whats the point? Go for the arab/muslim types aged 18 to 45 travelling without a family.

In the last 3 years I've been on maybe 250 flights. So many that some of the security guys at the big international airport say hello and know me.
This may sound dumb but I would rather take my chances with the odd plane being blown up and a one in 10 000 chance of me being on one than this new security misery.

Unfortunately these nuts don't see it that way. They are often second generation and don't seem to know why their parents emigrated in the first place. They don't know what shitholes of poverty their parents grew up in and how lucky they are. Just the same way we are lucky we weren't born in shitholes.
