In response to Vinnie,
They are always working on new material, something new is coming in April.
Yes they are also kicking ass on the classic material and going pretty deep into the catelog as well.
The true die hard fans of Eddie and Dave will not be disappointed.
Now for Mr. 007, Are you a former member of Private Life? Not sure where you are getting your info from, but its safe to say its 40% rehash, 30% speculation and 30% B.S.
If you're right, you can have my man-babies.
If not, you can eat a stick of cat shit :P
It's vital the new line-up of Eddie, Alex Wolf and Dave put out new material. With Mike out of the picture they can't just go out and do a CVH tour for old times sake. They need to let people know they are a real band again, which means release a new full length studio album of vintage Van Halen style kick ass hard rock, shoot some videos, come up with new cool merchandise, and do plenty of media.
This would give them much needed credibility after years of dysfunction, and help attract the younger generation of rock fans currently obsessed with classic bands from the 70s and 80s, as well as bringing back a lot of CVH fans who lost interest in them during the Van Hagar years.

The Power Of The Riff Compels Me
I am going to clear a few things up right now.
Dave is still part of the 2007 plans and nothing has changed. I read on that other site where someone claims to know that he is out again.
The tour will start in the spring, there will be some new material to coincide with it and it sounds pretty damn great right now even though its not completed lyrically yet.
Even though he has not been playing bass for very long, Wolfie has been playing the guitar for quite a long time and he has the chops. The playing won't be a problem and from what I have heard, vocally it won't be bad either, he's not Mike but he's not bad.
An announcement could be coming in just a couple of weeks, thats how well things are going.
This is a mature Van Halen, just playing the tunes and rocking out. Even though they have a 15 year old member now.
Don't expect the heavy partying boys of the late 70's-1984, they are having fun again plain and simple.
Hopefully this announcement comes sooner rather than later or not at all...Originally posted by The Guy

I've seen the Kennedy files and I know who did it........
I'll play along. As far as I can see, there is not a shred of a thread over at the Links saying Dave is out. As in the band, not sexually.
Ross Halfin says Daves in! LOL
Ah dude, you kill me! Mature my ass. Has this band ever been? Hell no! And wasn't that what a certain Ronald McDonald looking character said previously? Oh, we're a more mature band now but gave us asinine lyrics? I think so!Originally posted by The Guy

Tell Dave (that is, if you REALLY are connected, to grow a pair and tell Ed to fuck off if Mike ain't involved) and see what he says. Report back. Preferably within the week Bruck.

If you've heard Dave lately, he actually SINGS the songs these days as opposed to some old shows where he would drunkenly scream over the words.
That was classic Dave though. Some nights with all the JD he would consume back in those days, you wonder how he even sang most of those songs. I guess the alcohol gets burned off through all that sweat on stage.
Hey Binnie, what about the Kennedys? When will you be making the announcement? In a couple of weeks? Maybe on New Years? Will there be a press conference? Who will be doing the photography? I'm very excited, and have been waiting a long time for this.

Tell you what, why don't you drop my name to Eddie? Guarantee you I'll play fucking circles around his brat. Wolf will really take a new look at his new instrument once I'm done; considering he is, after all, an amateur.Originally posted by The Guy

I'll do it free of charge, even. You just get Ed to sign me on, feed me and such, and I'll join Van Halen for NO pay, do whatever he wants, and look and sound a hell of a lot better on stage and in the studio.
How's about that? Shouldn't be too much trouble to let Eddie know about me, right?
You go ahead and get back to me on that.

Hey Guy, there's a poster at the Links ("venom thrust") who claims to be in the know as far as the William Morris Agency is concerned -- a few of his comments contradict what you're saying (he says NO mew music and tour to start in the summer---whereas you say there will be new music and a tour to start in the spring.).http://www.vhlinks.com/vbforums/showthread.php?t=35292
Care to comment?
Bobby Kennedy Jr will NOT be playing bass on the 1997 tour. That is just a rumor.Originally posted by TAKIN WHISKEY

Anyone who has heard RFK Jr's speaking voice knows exactly why you wouldn't want him attempting bassplayer harmonies.
The unfortunate part of this is that Bobby on bass probably would have brought a greener, more environmentally VH to the road. A biodiesel powered bus, for example.....

So on this tour Ed will sober up? I find it unlikely to happen. Decent new studio recordings I might be interested in. Another lap around the country with Eddie fucking up left and right I have no interest in. The singer is irrelevant in my eyes.

April 17th 2007 date put to rest!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have all been wondering what that date has stood for since it was put up on another site a couple months ago. I believe since the date does not represent what someone had thought it will be ok to say at this point. It was thought to be the beginning of the tour a couple months ago but with the info from William Morris agency saying it is a summer tour and not a spring tour I now believe that the date is no longer legit. Some confusion from the start on this date it could be also be that the person was told that the date is when tickets go onsale for the tour that remains to be seen. What I am certain of is the date DOES NOT mean new music! Anyone exspecting new music on that date you can now put that to bed NOT going to happen! That date had something to do with the tour only and as I stated I believe that date has now changed. Perhaps maybe ticket sales? No need for eveyone getting crazy hoping for a release of music, remember tour only. Andrew told us this back in October and it looks like he had it correct from the start. All this is based on William Morris saying summer tour not spring. But it never had to do with new music!

I think most guitar players would tell you that douche bag. They don't buy the records or go to the shows to listen to the vocal. Vocals are just place keepers between solos. Haven't ya heard?Originally posted by Wawazat

To me, the singer is what gives the band its personality, its unique flavour.
