Well, he's touring now and is releasing soon (allegedly).

Dave hasn't released anything real since 1994 and that was a disgrace. DLR Band doesn't count because he threw it together in a week, no effort put into it at all.

Listen, I love Dave but moreso these days for his achievements in life (musically and otherwise) and his incredible attitude.

But musically he's done. He is a legend and that's that.

Axl was explosive right out of the gates.

This is just another ridiculous post. I've heard a number of songs from Chinese Democracy.....it sounds good. And I haven't heard anyone but you folls stuck in 1979 saying it sucks....just because it's not VH or GNR.

And yes DLR Band destroys anything VH released since 1984....who's arguing. But DLR Band just proves to me how lazy and insecure Dave has become. He made an album that could have been good, but to give himself an excuse in case it doesn't sell he throws it together.

Axl can call the Chinese Democracy album a 'Guns and Roses' album if he wants to...for me it's an Axl Rose solo album.

Far as it being of interest due to it having taken so long to make, does the album title Third Stage ring a bell?

It'll be of interest if the songs appeal to me. If the music does nothing for me, all of Rose's peculiarities regarding his laconic approach to his music career aren't gonna make it sound any better.

Honestly though, at this point if it never comes out I won't be bothered. My anticipation at what he would come up with post The Spaghetti Incident (really the last thing done by a band that could REASONABLY call itself G n R - unless you count that dreadful attempt at Sympathy For The Devil on the Interview With A Vampire soundtrack) waned around 1999.

Well, there are at least 4 new songs (he played three when I saw him, and i know of one other) and Axl did say "you will hear new music this year" back in Jan, but you never know with the Ginger one.

Nov is right in the build up to Xmas, massive in retail and usually "Greatest Hits" are the big releases.

Don't know if the record company would want to put it out then, might not be able to go max on advertising.

But, I'd definatelyl ike to hear it!
