Legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen hosted the one-year anniversary party for The House of Petals on Wednesday (Oct. 4) at The House of Petals floral studio on La Cienega in West Hollywood, California. The party featured a one-song set from Eddie and a stage show from the burlesque group Harlottique. Eddie attended the event with his new girlfriend, Sin City publicist Janie Liszewski (web site). Eddie Van Halen called in to Howard Stern's program on the Sirius Satellite Radio service last month, and he dropped a couple of major bombshells. After saying he was free of the cancer that led to tongue surgery a few years ago, the guitarist said that he and a partner had developed a treatment that cured his cancer, though he wouldn't reveal what it contains, according to Launch Radio Networks. As for how he got cancer in the first place, Van Halen denied it was from smoking, which he has never stopped, and he claimed the disease might have come from the metal guitar pick he used.

On a different topic, Van Halen made the slightly less amazing announcement that a reunion with original lead singer David Lee Roth isn't out of the question, though he didn't give any kind of timetable. Van Halen also talked about bassist Michael Anthony, and he seemed to go back and forth on whether they might work together again. Finally, Van Halen said his next project would be an album with him, his brother Alex, and his son Wolfgang, who he said had "dangerous" talent.

Eddie Van Halen and director Michael Ninn co-hosted a party last weekend for the launch of a porn movie called "Sacred Sin", for which Eddie recorded two songs. Dubbed "The Gathering", the private, invitation-only bash took place on Saturday (September 30) at "the 5150 Estate in Los Angeles," which is Van Halen's home. (PRWEB) October 7, 2006 -- Eddie Van Halen played solo and hosted an anniversary party at Hollywood's House of Petals floral studio that also featured a lingerie burlesque show featuring Harlottique, a burlesque dance group. Van Halen's single song set was the second time in three months he has shown up to play at the floral studio owned by his friend, actress Joey House. The October 4th event also featured a musical performance from 1980's rap star Ton Loc.

The presence of Ton Loc and Eddie Van Halen at the same party fueled speculation about a joint performance that night with Van Halen playing guitar to Loc's vocals. That speculation ended when Van Halen left the stage after one instrumental song, ending his show for the night.

Ton Loc then took the stage for several songs that included his signature hits "Funky Cold Medina" and "Wild Thing", sans Eddie Van Halen.

The elaborate event, also aided by the services of IntoxicateU was intended to provided guests with what we all hope was certainly a memorable and even perhaps a "once in a life-time" experience.

No event comes together without the talent and support of the individuals and crews who worked together with seamless focus, and we would like to thank all who were an integral part of this event. Without you, this creation would have never come together like it did.
