Sammy's Cabo Wabo in LA Sucked

Sammy Sucks and his band is worse

I went to what I thought was going to be a good concert. It was rumered that Mike Anthony was going to show up too.

We sat there well past start time and then 2 stupid disc jockeys from an LA station came out and announced a comedian.

We sat through the worse stand up I have ever heard. Then we yelled him off the stage.

Then the DJ's come out with 15 girls in bikini's. This would have been ok for 5 minutes but that drug on. The girls were not playboy material and had nothing to add. We screamed until they left.


Then a Mariachi band comes out that I saw playing on city walk. They didn't have a clue. The audiance was booing and yeling them off.

Finally Sammy comes out. He is losing it but does a good job of selling cabo Wabo Tequila.

His band sucks. His show sucked. When he quit, no encore because nobody was yeling for one. Then he came out in a pathetic voice and sais "I didn't tell them to turn the lights on. I'll play a song if you want"

That is how bad it was. I was laughing when he played a song Eddie played. The band can't cut it. Hell, I have heard garage bands play better.

Sammy said a slam to Eddie too. That got lots of Boos! Go back to Cabo Sammy.

Hey....you're fine. I live here in SoCal too, and you must have been listening to the Mark & Brian Show for the Tix...they are big SPAMtard endorsers, but the station they are on....LA's only ROCK Station, KLOS plays CVH most every time!

I'm not surprised his show sucked. His solo stuff (the little that I've heard coz it never gets played on our radio) is just so bloody boring.

Back in 1998, he toured Down Under. Unlike many others, he even came over to Adelaide South Australia. Played a smallish venue about 30 minutes drive from my place.

Still didn't bother to go. Despite the lack of big names that come here.

Possibly couldhave been 98....

The funniest part of his trip to Oz, was that he
appeared on Good Morning Australia, with
Bert Newton !!

Bert asked him about Van Halen (And you could tell
Bert knew fuck all about Van Halen) and Sammy
really slung the shit at Eddie and Alex..

This is one of the funniest reviews I've read. LOL!!! I almost wished I was there, but I just can't spend a dime for SPAM & "The Other Half"....even for just the laughs!

My dimes were only spent on Diamond Dave this summer and saving for the BIG REUNION.
